lol I would bank some money on this prophecy.

From what we've seen they're slowly but surely destroying what jedi once was and making them equal to or less than normal professions

yay for all of us who unlocked a few months after the game released. We dealt with so much sh1t it wasn't funny. It's all we've ever gotten. Jedi has slowly and surely been nerfed. We used to be able to fight 10 people at once did you know that? lol. Now you're lucky if you can kill 2-3. asa pre-CU jedi with a decent saber. Ah how things change. Why do I still play. /grumble

Not true.

Rumour where started becouse Amazon put up the KOTOR 2 description on the LucasArt's SWG package.

The rumour that Lucas Arts is taking over SWG seems to be true, however. The License information is changed from SoE to LA and the "Starter Kit" only mentions LA.

Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

Lucas Arts track record post-1998is not a good omen for the future of SWG.

Oh its true. Lol i dunno.

If anything they will be making becoming FS easier than it already is. Possibly revamping the village to simplify the idiotic and broken quests.

Jedi as a starting prof though? I dunno.

FS NEEDS TO BE BOMBED! ALL FS'ERS SHOULD BE FORCED INTO BUYING EBAY ACCOUNTS!

The PT games that were released after Phantom Menace seriously sucked (still have occasional nightmares about Ep I:TPM), but LA seems to have pulled their sh!t together and latest games have been pretty OK. I hope that at least they'll be a bit more pro-jedi than SOE.

Knights of the Old Republic 1 was produced by Bioware.
The Jedi Knight series where produced by Raven Software.

Both of theese companies are large enough on their own to not be bullied by LA to an early publish date. Gamestats show that the PC version of Knights of the Old Republic is ranked at game #28 of best game intheinternet era(World of Warcraft #42, Starwars Galaxies #1001).

Knights of the Old Republic 2 was produced by Obsidian Software. A smaller company, still struggling with money. They where published by LA to an early publish date, which meant the game was broken on xbox, and a major part of the ending was cut away from the PC version.

Beyond that pretty much everything else from LucasArts are cheap projects, made by small unknowndevelopment companies. Several games with a huge fanbase was cancelled (Sam & Max 2, Full Throttle 2), several games where simply licensed games based on the first three movies (that kind of game always sucks). Games like Force Commander and Indiana Jones and the Emperors Tomb looked like they where produced with 3-5 year old technology.

I will have mixed fealings if LA takes over because SOE knows MMOs and LA knows Star Wars. I think if LA takes over the game will begin to feel more like SW and they will make jedi according to the timeline, rare but possibly a little stronger then how SOE has brought us down too. Even though LA has made some bad games, they seem to be on track once again. SW Episode 3 was a good game. But what I think would really be sweet is if LA worked togeher with Pandemic ( SW Battlefront 1&2, Mercenaries, and Destroy all humans). Only time will tell and if LA does take over SWG fully I believe it will be a do or die situation for the game.
