In one of his posts, Q wrote:

  • "1) Learn the basics of the game for a while so you don’t appear to be a newbie.

  • 2) Accomplish all the different types of missions, from the quick and straight forward Mission Terminals to the multi-legged and more varied NPC static quests. You may need to travel beyond your starting city to find the more involved ones.

  • 3) Gain enough money to buy (or gain enough skill to make) a good weapon and other equipment that suits your character.

  • 4) Finish a themepark such as getting all the way to Jabba’s Throne Room. Beat at least 1 “dungeon” on every planet.

  • 5) By doing factional missions or joining battlefields, gain enough faction points to rise up through the ranks in the Empire or Rebellion. Make enough points to try out all of the perks.

  • 6) Join a Player Association that fits your play-style. Help others members to accomplish their unique goals and they will help you with yours.

  • 7) Keep tabs on your Badges. You want to get over 100 of these to consider yourself a success in SWG.

  • 8) Spend all of your skill points to master several professions. (Be sure you surrender some skills and learn new ones to find the character combination best for you)

  • 9) Search the galaxy to find the spot you want to call home and build a house there so you can leave your mark on that galaxy. (Be sure to furnish it as an empty house doesn’t count)

  • 10) When you are done with all that, work on figuring out how to unlock the Force Sensitive slot."

  • Did anyone stop and think that thissounds like a step by step guide to get to step 10? Perhaps Q has already told us! Tellme what you think about this, it's been churning in my head for a while.

Sadly enough that seems alot like a step by step guide.... Getting all that done WOULD be really hardand I'm pretty sure even crafters can build faction points from delivery missions and finish a theme park... You may be onto something, maybe number 10 is like a teaser, because when you do all that you won't HAVE to figure out how to open the slot... I also guess technically It wouldnt be the same for any character since you can pick your badges and pick your theme park...Makes you think

thats all a crock to get you to get involved with the game. unfortunatley, i dotn want to do any of that UNTIL i have a jedi. I am already a master player, onc eyou playe don onlien rpg liek UO YOU HAVE PLAYED SWG.

You see thast list? how it FORCES you to do EVERYTHING, an dnot do things that best fit your style? this is called rail roading the customer. I dotn want 100 badges, and that arrogant fool has no right to say i am not a success in swg becaus ei dotn have 100 badges. I find the band in the catina, who already have a HUGE followign a great success at swg. they played the game and accomplished something grand.

He is tryign to say that jedi do not exsist until the next expansion, so might as wlel do every thing else first.

im going to hurl after reading that list.

this would make it the same for almost every character...and just go look at a character who is playing a doctor, look at his H and A pools to see for yourself why it would be all but impossible for some 'less combat

No. I really think, no. In the process of doing all that, you may unlock it. But I'm almost sure the actually system has nothing to do at all with anything in that list.

apitch85, did Q, or any other developers, explain how obtaining the fs slot would be different for every player? No, so i suggest you be quiet. It isn't the same.

Actually, it wouldn't, and that's what makes me think this is close to a step-by-step guide for FS. He gives you quote a few alternatives, i.e. going to a themepark wouldn't have to be the same themepark for all players. Get 100 badges etc, it's all well within the confirmed terms of variation, while still holding a certain plausibility that this could actually be a programmed function into the game.

It sounds more like a guide to what you'll be able to do in the time it takes to unlock a FS slot, lol.

Also, as I read this list I kept thinking that by the time someone does all those things, that person has spent a LOT of subscription $$$ on this.....which is the idea, of course!

    Thanks Q!

Well all of that could be done within a couple weeks EXCEPT badges since there not in the game yet and if for some reason this realy is the guide to unlockign FS we know why there wont be any for months (no badges).

hmm, over thinkign about this..i think it is right. i really think before you get an fs slot you have to do all of this stuff, or atleast some of it. 100 badges, couple dungeons, some themeparks. this makes me sad, cause i believe it to be true. you are forced to play a mediocre game to get your fs slot, the onyl thing worth my 15 bucks a month..oh man im tkaign a break and waiting til more fs slots are open so i can be sure. im n wastign time and money until i know this for sure.

    be well all
