Thread: 8 Damage crystals in 2 hrs...yes you heard right.

I've been considering holding this info to myself because i love it when im the only one there but i feel theres a lot of flaming and arguing goin on that is very unneeded related to the topic of cystals/pearls. I guess most of u guys are only focused on pearls for your sabers because u think they are much better. At this point my saber is sooooooooo bad that anything would be better than my 29 -3 crystals! So i decided to head out to the canyon corsair poi on lok where i heard lots of damage crystals are droppin. After i killed one of the level 43 corsair scouts i looted a damage crystal......5 min later another......20 min later another yay!! Finally i have some crystals!! Granted they're only fair crystals, its still better than none. So after 1 hour of play i had 4 damage crystals and about 6 or so colored ones. I stayed there for about 2 hours and ended up with 8 damage crystals..not bad. So i tuned them all and one tuned to 69 69 -4 not bad and much better than my original crystals. The next best one tuned to about 49 49 -3 still not too bad but not to good. The others all tuned to crap 30 30 and so on. But in general I managed to raise my saber dps by 40 points in 2 hours not bad. So if anyone has pretty bad crystals in their saber plz head out the canyon corsair poi on lok and loot away!! I hope this helps some of my fellow jedi out and i hope it lowers cost on crystals at vendor. Mad at your saber DPS? go loot some crystals...

those npcs at the poi are like lvl 43-45 thus only drop fairs. you will need 100000 of them before you tune anything great. i wish you luck however.

nicei looted 13 quallity crystals in 5h and a DB LS speed +13 ca
no iam not a bh doing bh missions and iam not camping cl111 static spawns , i just now where to look in the wilds on dantooine

pull lv 80 corsair missions from player citys, they drop good crystals

I understand they are fair but I'm not sure if quality of cyrstal/pearl even matters at this point. I could be wrong

Not a flame. But if I ever had to use a 49 -2 in my saber, I think I'd turn the saber off and hit the mobs with the hilt. I guess if you saber is really poor, this would help. But I hope that a 49 -2 is not going to really help you.
my saber has 4 and destiny.
highest 92
lowest 46 with a nice speed modifier and -8 force.
my dps is like 450. and I am mls.

There's a diminishing return on investment into this excercise.. I stopped doing this when I figured that my return has diminished to ZERO lol
I'm still looking for a person who has tuned a fair crystal to 120 dmg, -0.12 speed, -9fc. Show me ONE such person and I will believe that all crystals and pearls have a chance of a perfect tune. Not one person has come forward. Before that happens, SOE is a liar as far as I'm concerned.

Glad to hear of your success, but this is still a far cry from what used to be available.

spawns of 111s arent too uncommon but theres no exact science to finding them.

crystals cap out at 110 max dam for reference - and i seriosly doubt it could be tuned that good off a fair - i have tuned a good crystal to 101 -6 though

DPS is meaningless.
