I personally went jedi for the PVP based FRS cause it was just way cool, but the lag has gotten so horrid publish and publish being on 56k that a quest based wouldnt be bad for me. But I thought that the whole point of FRS was the Light vs the Dark, if the game does that this route how would you feel?

I don't know what to think about a quest based or PvP based frs. If it's PvP based there would be some way to exploit it, no matter what they do. If it's quest based then someone can qrite a guide on how to become a master. I look at it as a losing situation no matter what.

It meant nothing before.
Just because you can get your guildies to lay down and die so you can be a Jedi master does not mean anything other than you know how to social engineer.

quest based FRS would be great IF some other company would have created the quests, the SOE quests are so boring lol, its allways the same thing either pick up this ,or kill that, and the stories are dull

I would accept either. Pvp or quest. As long as it has very limited bugs, no exploit factor and everyone has a chance.

Hm quest based FRS... lets look into this:
"Go get this item and bring it back"
"Go kill this guy and come back"
Repeat 100x and you're a knight! Sweet!
On second though, I think I'd rather have something with a bit more *content* than that. Since the CU is based around human contact (forced grouping, etc), I think the master+padawan system is the only way to go.

I have an idea:
How about everybody starts with 0 points, Jedi and BH( the only two profs that affect the FRS)
These points would represent a base line for the FRS.
Let's call them FRS points.
Anegative cap of-1000 would be inplemented for Jedi (no positive cap), and the negative cap would be 0 for Bh's, again (no positive cap)
It would work like this:
When a Jedi kills a BH, the Jedi gets 10% of their points, if the BH has 0 Points, the Jedi gets 0 Points.
When a Jedi kills a Jedi, the Jedi gets 10% of their points, if the Jedi has -1000 points, the Jedi gets 0 points( 100 if he's at 0)
When a BH kills a Jedi, the BH gest 10% of thier points, (100 Points if the jedi is at 0, 90 if they're at -100, etc.)
This way, there are only a set number of points, and the distribution would determine the ranking.
The only way to add additional points to the system would be to unlock a Jedi.
I wouldn't do quest based FRS because quest based = NPC based. The only real way to do it is to have players kill eachother.

id quit, because after all knight and up you will be overt, so why give some noobie guy who has lots of time to do quests be better then the best pvper on the server? it doesnt make sense.

never fc'ed and never intend to.
and i think the frs should be pvp based but jedi v jedi and jedi should have there own faction for this.
