Thread: Idea for giving us more power

How about the nerfingstopsandwe get thepower that we should have, and in exchange we are not allowedto use any force powers or lightsaber actionsinmajor cities on the major planets? If we use a power in a city, a lvl 500 Darth Vader spawns with some elite troopers and kills us as per Order 66. (or something to that effect)

This way, we are forced out into the swamps (Yoda), and deserts (Obi-Wan) like we are supposed to be in this time period. It gives the the general populace a place to be "safe" from jedi to pvp (instead of having non-jedi servers as some have suggested), and if the fight carries outside we can join in. Also, we can still travel about, as long as we aren't using a power. An exception can be made if we have a BH tef. I think this would give a very "Star Warsy" feel to the game, and end a lot of the complaining.

I want to feel like a jedi, to make up for all the time I'veinvested in training to be one.

We could even give the BH'ers more power too, so that we can have someone to give us a challenge in this system. Maybe make it so that once you become a bounty hunter, you are made perma-neutral in the GCW and can hunt any jedi, because all you care about is money. There will be criminals to hunt no matter who wins the war, so what do you care?

Everyone is happy.

too big of a sacrifice. I would gladly bring back BH gank squads if they get some nerfs and we go back to pre-cu POWER!

That sounds similar to the idea in my sig. I'd be all for a city-saber tef. If jedi knew they could be openly attacked if using force powers in a city, they wouldn't be seen as much "showing off"

Whatwouldwe be sacrificing? Only the ability to attack overts in a major city, which we shouldn't be able to do without retribution in this timeline anyway. ( I know, the timeline went out the window a long time ago, but why not try to get it back?)

Why do PvE Jedi want to institute risks on to Jedi that like to PvP? And then, when a Jedi who PvPs suggests risks for everyone (including PvE Jedi) they are immediately shut down.

I'm not saying I'm a PvP Jedi, but I'll be damned if I'd support a PvE Jedi and their ideas if they are not willing to have risks associated with themselves.

I'm not sure if you are calling me a PvE jedi or what. I assure you that I love to PvP.

It seems that you are concerned with risk vs. reward. Let me spell it out.

REWARD: We get MORE POWER.

RISK: Bounty Hunters can attack any jedi that has viz above a certain level AT ANY TIME, ANYWHERE.

FOR THE REST:We can't attack peopleinside a major city ( I'm talking about Coronet/Bestine/Theed, ONE CITY ON EACH PLANET THAT JEDI CAN'T ATTACK IN WOULD BE MORE THAN ENOUGH), so we do notUNBALANCE PvP with ourpower. We can still PvP by setting up WARS with other guilds, or by waiting in the outer rim planets, in smaller cities, or outside the city limits.

Of course this is very simplified for the sake of saving everyone's eyes. The only reason I am posting this is because I don't feel like a jedi in-game. I feel angry that I spent so much time to attain this goal and am no more powerful than a single semi-melee stacker with doctor, or a single bounty hunter.

I want Jedi to be truly powerful in this game.At the same time, I do agree that we need balances. I think this setup would satisfy the majority, or at least me.That's just my opinion

uhhh.. no to all that.. we are perfect RIGHT where we are.. jedi is superior in almost every way if you have skill. just like the bh's who own you n00b jedi and you come to cry on the forums.. the bh's have skill.. you don't. they win. thats the way it should be.. jedi is not the infamous 'iwin' button.

Good constructive post man. I guess the reason that there are so many complaints on this forum, and almost no complaints on say.. the swordsman forum.... is that we are Fricking perfect as we are.

BTW, I have not been killed by a BH 1 on 1 since I became full template. I actually look forward to those visits. I love people that just throw around the n00b word.

And can you honestly say that you enjoy logging in your jedi and playing the game? I can't. This is because all the jedi skills have been nerfed in some way over the last 8-10 months, with more to come. And before you ask why I don't quit, there are many things that I still do enjoy in game. I am just not happy with the state of jedi atm. Things NEED to change IMO. The only way to bring about change is to make your voice heard.

WE ARE FINE!! We r the vets that have chosen to take a harder path to something that is minimally better (and some templates worse) to show our skillz, not our skills. Jedi is still a strong class, some templates might lose to others (or other non-jedi) one on one, but in a group, every jedi is valuable nomatter their skill set. Dont change us, leave us be.

I for one just enoy being a jedi... if only we could all look at it that way, its a game and we all made it to the tip top area and have found itsthe same up here except with a bnetter view(thats wat jedi is, a skin that makes us different and makes me enjoy playing)

cmon man, even the rebel understands it. if you are full temp and you still suck.. then wow you are hopeless my friend. dont flame me when you want to solo every little thing, want to take on anything.. because it should not be that and it isnt. we are very good and useful in practically every situation but we arent amazing.. im sorry you're unhappy, but the majority likes it.

Talking to you guys is like talking to my little brother. He argues just for the sake of arguing.

Unless you can give me a convincing argument as to why you think jedi is fine as it is, I will continue to voice my opinion.

And, no, I do not lose. I win SWG every night.
