I was thinking wether letting u ppl know about this or not , since its gonna help u grind jedi faster, but at the end thought what the heck.
When u start , double bladed is a must. Its the only saber that gives u an area attack early on. U have to take up to double bladed 4 . then using dervish learn 2h-saber 4. 2h saber 4 (dont remember the name of the special attack
) is by far better than dervish1. Its got better speed , a tad better damage ( i know there is a thread explaining the multipliers of each attack , but im certain they got this one wrong) , and also can hit targets that are up to 10 meters away. (while iirc dervish1 is limmited to 7m only). As to when u reach master i cant say ( not a MLS yet
).

Are you talking about Polearm Dervish 1 only being 7 meters??? I use this everyday, and hit creatures at 10-11 meters.. I normally take out my lairs at 10-9meters with Dervish 1. You might want to test this out.

sure ill test it tonight , cause its been a while since i last used a doublebladed, but i think it was less than 2h... ill change it if im wrong. Anyway , u hit for a tad more damage and the saber is a bit faster too. and i remember these for a fact.

I've done extensive testing on saber damage and there is no higher damage at equal skill levels than polearm saber. You might try remaking your polearm.

i havnt done polearm sabers so bag on me if u want, but iv'e read this in other post as well
ok great an area attack in tier 1 seems nice, but for 1 you hit random bars and u cant take on multiple creatures unless you doing flewts or very weak creatures.
with 1 handed you can consentrate all your hit powers into the mind pool.
you might hit a little harder, and can do area attack w/ polearm but hitting random pools can take a long, long time and I'll bet it's not much faster, if at all than 1 handed. being able to concentrate all your hits into 1 pool makes a lot more sence to me.

Bro, being able to hit one pool only isn't unique to one handed saber. Hitting mind is only an advantage against players. Polearm can hit action which is just as effective against NPCs. One handed can hit a little faster but polearm hits harder and i think that polearm has a higher damage persecond because of that. Every move takes away force, therefore the polearm uses less force. The fact is, polearm is the best for grinding. I did my entire grind with a gen 1 polearm. Once i got 0044 polearm i was able to get 200k exp an hour and i finished my template in 2 and half months. There ya go.

personally, as MLS I use a 3rd gen 1-hand with -7 FPC crystals/pearls for grinding. I think my force cost is around 13 in that one. if someone comes to fight, i switch to my PvP saber

Once you are pre-knight status which saber style is best for pve. For fighting
rancor, voritors and the such? Two hand, one hand, or polearm? Considering you are 4444 or master lightsaber.

With master LS I did all my remaining XP with a third-gen one hand saber. Flurry is cool, and being able to nail the mind is handy if you get into a confrontation with a BH
