Thread: Jedi Mission's for Premiums Input needed

Seeing that the dev’s seem reluctant on upping the levels of Krayts maybe a good idea would be to give us actual Jedi missions, much like the ones bh’s got recently that we could possibly get from our Jedi skill trainer. These missions could give us a small possibility of looting a premium pearl/crystal as well as giving us some much needed content.

The missions themselves would be against npc Jedi and could be divided into light and dark content. Missions could range from killing a promising Light Jedi to trying to turn a Dark Jedi back to the light. Being Jedi npc it would make sense for them to have power crystal on them.

Based on the bh marks it could breakdown something like this..

Double Chevron Mission – Possibility of dropping Flawless/Premium pearls/crystals.

Single Chevron Mission – Possibility of dropping Premium/Quality pearls/crystals.

Elite Mission – Possibility of dropping Quality/Good pearls/crystals.

Things that could be also added to the loot tables could be holo’s and a very, very rare chance of a named colour crystal (getting one every new expansion isn’t really good enough tbh)

Anyway what do you think of something like this? I don't care if the drop rate is low, I just want the chance to be able to build a good saber and some jedi content wouldn't go a miss. Also to stop farming maybe there should be a limit on the amount of these missions you can take a month.

I like the quest idea, and it's something that will probably get implemented to stop POI camping as happened with NS Elders / Krayts.

The BH loot implementation has been a resounding success, and IMHO hasn't wrecked the server economies at all. Let's hope SOE build on that success and use their experience to enhance all other professions in a similar way

I've Always wanted pearls to be attained through some sort of quest, but a good/difficult quest.

As long as they make them time based and they take about 2 months to do that sounds fun

lol

yea, there has to be some kind of constraint here. I would really like a deeply involved quest not some thing like the necrosis 'quests' that can be done all day if someone wanted to.

Or else it's gonna be premie farming time again.

Maybe it could be set that you can only take a set ammount of these missions a month to avoid farming.

Why is everyone so obsessed with premiums? They don't have a higher cap than goods and even when they dropped where much rarer than goods. I have a post-cu looted "good" I tuned to 120, -5 FC, that's a heck of a lot better than paying 20 mil for a premium that gets a crappy tune. It's just a matter of time before you get/loot a good that tunes as well as a premium or even flawless.

My jedi was picky about quality. i have bags of stuff with quality lower than select that have nothing but ugly tunes.

She liked flawless/premium/and the occasional select. Other than that she couldn't get a good tune from anything lower
