We love you girl. We know you guys try. Folks gotta realize though that there's times (even in the video game business) where it all becomes a job. I used to work in tech support and am now an elementary school music teacher. I KNOW about whining and how much of a pain it is to try to solve problems for everyone. You guys don't have an easy job at all. Hopefully, after all this ToOW mess is over with, and you're not under the gun from LA, we can look forward to some top-notch quality content and fixes, minus the deadlines set forth from LA and LFLTD.

I say, if folks think they can do a better job at developing a game of this scope, then by God, let them have at it! And when they fall on their flipping face, they'll realize how difficult this business really is.

Look at what Blizzard and PlayNC have done with their MMOs. They listen to their customers, unlike SOE. And if you think SOE does a good job, ask yourself this: If SOE likes their customers as much as you claim they do, then why do they release a new expansion every 6 months with barely any content for $30? Is it to make US happy? No, it's to make them money. They do what they want and nothing else. You know nothing. Take a hike.

Blizzard wouldn't take this game, they wouldn't wanna ruin their business with the bad names SWG has been called.

The problem is SWG is nothing to SOE. EQ1 and EQ2 are the money makers. You can tell by the quality of the work. EQ2 is simply beautiful. Not many bugs, and ZERO exploits.

Let the EQ2 team take a crack at SWG. I bet its fixed in 3 months.

SOE usesdevelopers in SWGfor thetraining grounds for EQ developers.

Actually the CU is the product of EQ developers moving to SWG and not understanding the skills based system.

They had to try to shoehorn in the EQ core as that is all they could understand.

(this is all rumour btw :-p )

No, it is the truth. The majority of the original developers of the game have since left or been termintaed. The holes of the dev team have been filled with developers of other SOE games, such as EQ1 and EQ2.

SWG is dead & history get over it. As for the we should feel sorry for the developers/people responsible for this mess! Get real for gods sake. SWG is dead because the developers are useless, they SOE have developed a million dollar engine for EQ2 which quite frankly has failed due to one major factor its crap! So therefore since SOE could not get the subscribers for EQ2 they decided to use the EQ2 engine for all their other god awful games, of course anbusinessman like John Smedley would sell you the EQ2 engine at the boardroom level. Just imagine that board meeting with Smedleyspouting his 'how easy it will be to manage & maintain games.' 'We don't need to create seperate engine for one game we can do it all with our all singing, all dancing EQ2 crap engine' he might have said 'that way we can save money.'

Wrong, wrong, wrong SWG has never been fixed, will never be fixed & the longer business people like Smedley spend in the chair, the quicker SOE will die. Blizzard will crush SOE's small minded penny pinching empire within the next two years. Matrix Online anyone, heard how its doing sinceSOE took over, no well that's hardly a suprise since it seems have sunk with the new plans for the PS3!

Go get a copy of WOW, play the game & see how you feel. After great PVP, fanatastic instances & quests, you'll never give SWG a second look. Then maybe you'll begin to see how a company should be run. In the six months of WOW I have had very little to complain about, there have been minor bugs yes, but on the whole the game has been good. Never once have I had mail a GM or complain about an other player. In comparison in SWG one week of play would result in me discovering more bugs, sending more complaints etc, etc. The comparsion is amazing, just ask yourself the question 'Why do I play games?' if like me your answer is for fun then why are you continuing to play when you're stressed with the bugs, the lack of communication, the continual delibrate mistakes, the patches which promise balance, but like a Tony Blair promise they deliver nothing but misery.

See you in WOW!
