Thread: Childhood's End new bug blocks NEW Jedi from being created

I'm not sure if everyone is aware, but the "glowy" system is currently broken. No ETA on a fix, verified as a bug.
As of patch 24, once you get the required badges to become glowy, you now instead have "a strong sense of the force". No old man will come visiting, no Sith - nothing.
All those receiving glowy BEFORE patch 24 are not affected. You will progress through your quests and phases just fine.
Multiple people are inflicted with this, fully verified and everyone is awaiting a fix... see the sticky post on FS board.
Just a heads up to anyone reading the Jedi boards and working towards becoming force sensitive, or new people who came back thanks to the expansion and wonder why the old man never arrives. I just hope this bug doesn't fall through the cracks and not get addressed for months and months. We will have bugs from both Beta and CU still lurking around.

its ok dont worry. Soon you will be able to select a Jedi as a starting character. So just tell all those people that want to do the FS grind, to wait...cause in a few months they can just make a jedi

i hope this isn't true. I seen the old man hanging around myguild citythe other day. he wasn't there for me though. If this is true expect to see the population thin out even more than it already is because alot of people are going to be pissed.

Jedi are being turned into a normal starting profession. SOE doesn't want you to start down the grinding path only to waste your time when nubs become Jedi at log in. After all the nerfs, playing a Jedi isn't fun anyway.
If you like smashing things, I have a MSwords/MTK/doc toon that is really cool (and stronger than my full template jedi). I'd just stick to that.

Screw Jedi, I just wanted the FS crafting tree.

FS crafting? ROFLOL, Blixtev the Great hates crafters almost as bad as he hates Jedi. He laughs everytime a crafter gets killed by a pack of leeezards while checking on factories.

Hmm, I wonder if they may have changed the path a little. I'm only speculating here. But could it be that Mustafar is included in the path now? Yes, I know, it would be required from people to pay for Mustafar.
Talking to Obi himself would maybe be a nice add to it though? Getting the badge from his trials?
Anyway, don't take to seriously to what I wrote, it's only a speculation. Since what you said that quite a few of the player community working on this would be pissed.

Hmm, good thing my unlock and BH are FS. Now I can focus on FS crafting with one of them. I have the best of 4 toons. Jedi, rifle/doc, mbh/pistol, mws/ma/mm. Oh and two have respec still...
Guess which ones.

i dunno what to believe...im leaning torwards the "its not a bug, its happening for a reason" thing. no eta for another 2 years until jedi is grindable in less than 6-7 days.
