Thread: Master Powers: A New Hope?
I'm still in the village, with 2 phases left, and thinking of where in Jedi I should go. With the recent problems of snares, CM dots, and stinky crystal tunes-all of which my Jedi friends have been complaining about-started thinking that a ranged template might be the way to go. And after watching a really tough, awesome Jedi get kited around for nearly an hour by a MBH/MCM w. snare, I became sure of this. So here is what I'm thinking my template should be, and I'd love to get feedback from this board's community. Master Powers, 3402 Enhancer, 4000 Healer, 4040 Defender. I know this is a support template, and wouldn't last long in one-on-one Jedi vs Jedi pvp. But againstsuch a BH as described above, and also for the fun of using the powers, I thought it would be great. Opinions?
I am master powers and i found that the following temp was great
ls x4xx, enh 4xx4, def xx4x heal 4xxx and mpowers muhaha
I did have mls previously to make a nice saber but axp suit and the ls line of xxx4 should be good enough. Once u made your saber drop the line and train in another
I think u should keep a saber just in case u do start to get decent tunes etc, but do as u wish. You will know what to change if u dont like it

I have seen some players with similar templates as Cosminelu and I will say one thing. Its fun and effective in pve but you will be dead vs. a jedi. I have dueled someone with this template and it was a quick fight. If you dont plan on becoming a knight go for it.

When was the duel? The reason I ask is related to the changes patch 24 brought to movement.
Root your melee opponent, Breach, state with mindblast and intimidate as you move into Saber range, then use KD and some nice saber/powers damage combos, weaken for snare if you need to move away.
When I was fighting a 4440 Defender the other day I was very suprised at the accuracy of my Breach. It was much more effective than before, and once a defenders Aura is down your attacks will do more damage and hit more often. If the target has Force Armor it can be devastating when they do not reactivate fast enough.
An MPowers template can have a lot of versatility, but you will need to be very aware of your force costs, and adding sabers to augment damage was important for me.

im a bh, and some of the hardest fights ive ever had are against powers, withthe above temp 4x4x LS and FA,
Theres somthign a lot of jedi dont know, if you have the SL individual Buff High yeild choke does insane damge, try this if your powers
Your future temp looks alot like mine. Except it has drain, like moos temp. Dont let people tell you powers is support. It just takes more finess. It's just disressing that anyone with 0100 tka or mdefender laughs at your damage.

This is the same template I have and it rocks in PvE and vs BHs.
1 vs 1 Jedi you will lose some battles, but you will do better once you get the hang of this template, learn your strenghts and know your limitations.
Lots of fun; much more than the boring FOTM Mls/Mdef/Healer 4000

Is there a decent difference between partial Powers and Master Powers? I'm currently 3402 in Powers and debating whether I should continue towards Master or if it's a waste.

A weilder without breach is not a good idea. Maybee get 0404 sabers and 0440 weilder for weaken and intim, not exactly powerfull in any situation, but doable. But like i said, do not rely on powers as your offence if you do not have breach.

IMO I think Powers is only worth it if you get the Master box. You'll do more damage with lightning, and you'll miss a lot less.

Learn to use breach against jedi foes! If they notice u have debuffed em they will use a lot of force to reapply the buffs (therefore spam breach to drain force), if not go all out damage! Force Weaken is good for snare and health reduction. Be mindful of powers
Used well can be v damaging.
As for Bh intim, kd and choke. then do damage til they are on the run healin then root, armour break, power attack ,head hit, game over
