Thread: Jedi and the Devs it is our responsibility

The answer to what has been an ongoing problem in SWG for several months has been with us all along. Jedi is given to us as a privilege not necessarily as a right. We were given a power that only those that started thisgame could dream of and yet we don't relish it. We play this game for hours on end to accomplish one of the highest aspects of this game. It is not handed to us and it is not easily accomplished.
In the beginning (and I know not many are still here from the beginning) Jedi were rare and far in between. They were hidden and not seen. The game only started to become unbalanced when we gave Bounty Hunters their power. By obtaining visibility we handed Bounty Hunters their power and reign over us. We give them their power and we can easily take it away. The Devs gave us the one thing that could start to give us our power back and that was by not obtaining visibility in groups. We all know this game is based now on group play and after CU it was hard for a Jedi to succeed in his grind without group playing. The Devs gave us some of our power back by allowing us the chance to play in groups and not giving Bounty Hunters the satisfaction of us obtaining visibility this way. Yet we still obtain visibility when we were given the one thing we needed to stay off of the terms.
The answer to stopping the Jedi / Bounty Hunter war is to not give Bounty Hunters the Jedi they crave to hunt. By not obtaining visibility and doing the one important thing we are suppose to as Jedi and that is to go back into hiding. We were given a great power at one time and that power was taken away due to the misuse of it. We once use to be strong and powerful and now Bounty Hunters have been given that power and it has been revoked from us. The reason behind this being we have not done what we were suppose to in the beginning. Many of you say that Jedi do not exist in this time period, but that is a misconception. Jedi were in hiding at this time and since we refuse to do so SOE is trying to suppress us back into hiding like we should be. SOE will not tell us this up front it is up to us to read between the lines. It is our responisbility to take action and not let the Bounty Hunters run our game and our universe. If we don't get visibility then our missions are not posted on the terms. If our missions are not on the terms then Bounty Hunters don't have us to hunt then they have two choices.... either hunttheir NPC elite bosses or dropthe profession and do another one. In my opinion many will drop the profession since many are strong on the whole FOTM scheme.
As a Jedi community we can pull together and do this, but it takes more then just a few to pull this off. The Bounty Hunter infestation did not become a problem until every other jedi was posted on the terms and Bounty Hunters decided they could use us as a pay day and a way to grieve on others.
We were give a great power and a strong phrase that stays till today ... "With great power comes great responsibility."
And as for these two Dark Jedi we will no longer be any Bounty Hunters content.

Stop being a sheep, you pay for a product. Nothing is "given" it's "paid for".

The answer to the Jedi / Bounty Hunter war is in our control. We were given a great power in the beginning (and I know a lot of you have not been here since the beginning) when Jedi were rare and far in between. When Jedi was a privilege and not a right. Jedi was not given to us. Many hours of grinding and hard dedication went into obtaining this profession. We miss used that power and now that power has been revoked and given to Bounty Hunters. We gave Bounty Hunters their power and we can take it back. It is time for the end of the Bounty Hunter reign.
We were given the one thing after CU that gave us the power over Bounty Hunters and that one thing is by not obtaining visibility in groups. After CU as we all knowSWG became a group oriented game and SOE gave Jedi the opportunity to play in groups with out risk yet we still obtain visibility. By obtaining visibility we give Bounty Hunters the power over us. I know that a lot of you have the idea that Jedi do notexist in this time period, but that is a misconception. Jedi did exist they were just in hiding yet we still refuse to do so. By not staying hidden and refusing to obtain visibility we give Bounty Hunters the upper hand and power over us.
The Bounty Hunterinfestation did not exist till every other Jedi was posted on the terms. Then came the Respec Bounty Hunters and those that look for quick cash. By refusing to obtain visibility and stay in the shadows we gain the power. If Bounty Hunters don't have us to hunt then we are nottheir Pay Day and they don't haveJedi to grieve on. The only reason Order 66 and Bounty Hunter exploits are a factor toJedi is that we allow them theoption to use them on us. We give them their power and we can take it away.
As a Jedi community we can change this, but it takes more then just a few. We need to take the power back and take Jedi back to what it was suppose to be. By doing so we can put things back into balance. SOE will not tell us to our face what we need to do we need to read between the lines and take responsibility for what we have done to ourselves by giving Bounty Huntersthe Jedi content they loveto hunt.
We can take back our game and we can take back our universe. As once said and still strong to this day " With great power comes great responsibility". It is our responsibility to take our game back and our responsibility to put it back into balance. We are the ones that unbalanced Jedi by continuously keeping our visibility up and staying on the terms. By misusing our powers and not following the guidelines given to us it is our fault as Jedi and ours alone. So by taking control of your actions by not getting visibility and living by the Jedi code we can put things back into balance and you may say I don't know what I am talking about, but hey it is a lot better then complaining to deaf ears. For once take reponsibility for your own actions and lets fix this game cause it is in our hands and we hold the destiny of Jedi. If we put Jedi back in balance maybe just maybe our profession might be put back to what it suppose to be instead of us being the ones nerfing it.
As for these two jedi we are no longer any Bounty Hunters content.

Actually, many respec BH are PvE, not PvP and don't care one whit about Jedi. It's just a very good combat class that mixes with any other ranged combat class very well.
I wouldn't expect to see the large numbers of BH thin out too much.
But I do agree with what you said about visibility and avoiding it. Easier now than ever before.

Yes Group for your 1v1 fights kill your visibility, dissapear from the cities get off the terms take back our power. the BH's would begin to get bored and cry that we are not playing fair
