Thread: New Jedi CAs = New Jedi robes! :)

Alright, first of all, ignore my sig. I was a BH on corbantis, and I say was because I'm now doing Jedi on Chilastra. Anyway, it seems there are going to be Jedi CAs in the CU. Thats awsome, except, unless the give us sockets on our Jedi robes, we can only use them on normal clothes. So, in light of that, if you want to still look like a Jedi, but also use Jedi CAs, you'll have to get normal clothes made the same color as jedi robes. I've created three outfits, one for light Jedi, the other 2 for dark Jedi. The light Jedi outfit it based off of the colors of the Jedi robes currently in game, and the 1 of the Dark Jedi outfits is based slightly off of the one in game, while the other is based off of Darth Maul's Sith robes. Anyway, here they are:
For anybody that wants to use these outfits, let me go ahead and give you a piece of advice: you are going to have a very hard time getting them unless you do it the right way. Its gonna be very hard to describe that particular shade of tan or brown to them, so my suggestion is to find a tailor willing to make you a custom outfit, then send them an in game mail w/ the link to the outfit so they can see the colors themselves. I specificaly added those colors on the sides in the pics for tailors so they wouldnt have a hard time just looking at the pic and finding the color. Make jedi outfits the same clothes as non jedi can wear...great idea! Whats wrong with the current ones?

Did you even read my post? I explained this. Unless they give the current Jedi robes sockets, there will be no way to use the Jedi CAs except on regular clothes, so thats whats wrong w/ them. Try reading.

The current Jedi robe system needs to go away. Jedi robes or any robes should be craftable anyway with no benefits. What is the difference between Jedi robes and regular robes? Jedi robes are regular robes, but a Jedi is wearing them. =)
Take whatever bonuses Jedi robes have (+10 regen and 100 Force points) and bundle that back into Padawan or Novice LS tree or something. Make them craftable.. and they follow the same rules as regular clothes. At least I can wear a freaking backback with them again. =)

uuuuh, you can still wear a belt and gloves. Now, if you just don't like the robes I can understand but do not blame it on ca's that thye need to be changed. With the belt and gloves you can easily have 7 open sockets. Oh yeah, I like the clothes and I have an outfit very similar to those.

not all jedi can wear gloves and belt with their robes 8p
wookies can't wear gloves and i believe neither can trans....that leaves us with 1 item to hold attachments and belt slot will more than likely hold a psg with the cu, so we are left with no sockets
so it is a valid suggestion.

the more regular clothes you wear, the more CAs you can use

Yeah.....With the ability for jedi to wear psg's after CURB some species will have no sockets open. Let's face it the only reason 98% of people wear jedi robes at all (besides DJK robes) is for the regen and force bonuses. All lightside robes look like jammies. If they dispersed the bonuses from robes to the padawan box or something then made the robes craftable at padawan with sockets. Makes much more sense and people that want to look different are not forced to suffer a penalty.
My jedi wears: Modest skirt, Ubese armor shirt(classed as clothing), sandles, merc bandolier backpack...all black in color.
Since i am a double master I can survive without robes but the penalties are still noticed.

I like that Light outfit, looks quite a bit sharper than the current Light robe, and I like Hammer's Dark robe look better with the grey in it. This should be a good inspiration if not that exact outfit, we should be able to wear a hooded cloak over it if we please.
