Thread: New Techniques (add yours)

Hello, I've been reading the forums this morning, and have seen alot of complaints regarding the current state of jedi with this new publish. I would like to gather any techniques from the community, that would help us with PVE andBHexperiences. I myself haven't played around to much with pub 24, but any feedback(techniques) that would help the jedi community would be great.


for instance...


Are there any good food combo's to help against SL buffs and ect...?

Has anyone picked up a good strategy agianst BH and PVE? If so, what?

What is a good template now that everything is tougher?



Any kind of possitive techniques you can think of, that will help us find a way around in the new publish will be appriciated. Thanks

In my guild I'm seeing several Jedi including our one full temp - shift toward a more "defense/escape" focused template vs. LS / tank focued template. The big concern being that with the MBH/SL/CM hybrids that we won't be able to go toe-to-toe with a BH anymore, either in damage outputor in ability to heal. Now I've seen several posts of Jedi stating that they haven't had issues against BH's since the publish hit, just used the Rancor aid and went at it like they usually do.


However, I've also seen posts, with attached screenshots, of the SL influence on riflemen for example and the one I remember vividly was where the melee tank (Pike, TK I believe) was hit for a total of +7300 dmg, and the armor he had on deflected about 5600 of that. It's this factor that has many of us considering "escape" vs. "fight" I think. Would like to know if anyone else is making a template shift given the new ground we are finding ourselves on.

I've yet to encounter a MBH/MCM with the SL defense buffs.

Seriously, with what they already had before publish 24, no way to kill them if they get even more defenses.

Well, had my first BH visit since pub 24, and so far I didn't have a problem... But,he was newer to hunting jedi and never used debuffs/poisons on me. He did use snare on me at least once at the start of the fight, and suprisingly snare did not last as long as I expected, and it wasn't all that bad since I kept force run 1 on during the fight.


I still have yet to come across a bounty hunter/combat medic with squad leader buffs. If any has fought one please share your story with us here, I'd love to here about it. Oh, and some pointers wouldn't hurt either.

Ive had 2 BH since the patch, no Squad leader yet but one was a CM. ED is pretty nasty but you can easily counter it with your own snare/root. Not tested Rancor Aid yet.

He snared, I would snare back with Force Wave. When he rooted, I used saber throw tokeep him using his mind, and knock him down to give myself a few seconds of extra health.


I used Mandalorian Wine and Elshandruu Pica Thundercloud.


Other than that, I didn't really do anything, except keep valor/infuse.. Gave up on valor halfway through though and just let infuse keep me healed since it's super low force cost.


Oh, I also use the shock and res arms for my grind.. But I only got like 4m XP left so it's not a big deal anymore.. I should be done in a day or 2 until I'm done with quests and shiznit.

well i havent faced a mcm/mbh yet but i have a few ideas on how im gonna handle it


once combat stars im gonna get suppression in asap and any time im ED if i can get some ill use ranc aid and supress back get in range and do damage


or if icant get ranc aidtry and use any close terrrain to make the bh lose LOS while chaneling and or healing with stims/ruby and jedi heals (depending on his/her dam output)untill he/she dont get the ED to stick then fr to the bh thowing supression as soon as im in range (hopefully) ill get that to stick before ED gets me and ill be in melee range and go to work


theres the plans which will go right out the window probly when it actually happens lol,ill make it up as i go then see whats gonnna work. but i realy wanna get some ranc aid so i can use my fr advantage in closing the distance. i been thinking about it and i know where im gonna 'grind' so i can acccuratly predict the GENERAL direction of any attack but im a bit nervous about the enhanced damage if he/she is sl buffed im just hoping my heals wi stims/ruby can get me past the initial attack then ill see how it goes ill win or lose xp lol
