I agree, but smething had to be done as this form of camping was warping the game.
It's not so much that I couldn't get tapes for myself, after all they are far better dropping from Aakuans in the wilds. The issue for me was that bidding on items in the trade forums could be pointless. I didn't agree with players not even playing the game, yet accruing cash from selling tapes, whihc had been looted without any effort at all. Bidding on an item, only to have an AFKer offer an insane BO bid was painful. And the only reason these players had so much cash was because they hade been AFKing and selling the loot.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against rich players at all. Armoursmiths, Chefs and merchants.....although they make many of their sales while not even logged in, have still put enough effort into their professions to be the best they can be. Downloading a 3rd party tool, or designing an AFK macro,in order to park your character in front of a low level NPC spawn or pile fo trashand start looting doesn't even compare.
It is greatSOE stopped the AFK looting, but SOE's solution was pathetic and worthless as usual.
Whether these caves count as content or not is a discussion point, but their new statusdefinitely makes the universe a smaller place.
Why not make the NPCs CL70 and very agro? This will keep the AFK'ers out and the CL80 grinders too.
