They're used in crafting advanced projectile feed mechanisms, for many of the kinetic guns out there. (analagous to krayt tissues for advanced blaster power handlers). If you get a group of 6 good ones, they're pretty valuable.
I've never seen a gorax drop anything else, though.

Think they now drop delicate trigger assemblies? Pretty worthless though.

Yep, bone shards and delicate trigger assemblies are what drops mainly from Gorax, although I did loot some Mabari Armorweave pants from one the other day, think stats were around 6500 energy protection, 5000-something kinetic.

A way to get around the line of sight crap is to find a flat area near the spawn get the gorax to follow you root them if you have a root walk 49 meters away blast away, before the root wares off snare them let it come to you, kd it then start to walk away and root again and you only have to walk in a straight line and get minimal damage. It works 95% of the time for me. on another note has any of you ever gotten shards that have over 144 damage on them. Ive killed around 200, solod or with a group, of them and I never gotter a stack of shard higher then that. Ive been going there a couple of times a week for the past 2 months. Maybe I just have bad luck.

Got a set of (6) 193damage -.53speed two weeks ago. Just keep at it...

Shards, smuggler loot. The only thing that stinks about hunting them is all the line of sight **** I get while kiting them, Endor is too lumpy oO

Go to the SP that is to the north and head to the area that is brown in color on your map.The gorax will show up as a red dot with a yellow ring on your radar. Hope this helps
They are on Endor btw.

is there a wp where they may be around?
I read that they come out at night on another website does that mean I have to wait till the planet gets dark

I just found one and was doing pretty good till it retreated what should I do to keep it from retreating??
