Is anybody else having troubles getting their plant to move to the next stage? Mine has been at a 'slow' growth rate for over 2 weeks now (going on 3) and hasn't grown at all but is still consuming water/nutrients as I am having to replace those to keep the levels up....

If it's been at a slow growth rate for 2-3 weeks it should be about due to change any time now. I have a plant of my own and one that belongs to a friend that I've been taking care of. They've both always grown at slow or very slow and I think 2-3 weeks sounds about right for each stage. And be prepared that once it moves to the next stage the water and nutrient conditions will probably change so you'll have to play around with them again to find the ones that work.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to get mine above very slow growth, I often find it at none for a growth rate. It's been a large plant for quite awhile now and still no fruit. My friend's has stayed at slow growth and his became a large plant a week or two before mine and it's produced 5 fruit now. It takes about 2 weeksfor each one. I haven't had any luck getting better growth rates on either plant even though I've done a lot of experimenting with settings. The plants definitely vary so hopefully you'll end up with a productive one.

I have five of them and check them several times a day. Sometimes they don't appear to update at all - as in the water and nutrient levels stay the same and the condition doesn't change. Two are large, two medium and one is holding strong at small.
Therequirements did change for two of them that made it to their second stage. The other two (larges) were given to me as full grown so I don't know if therequirements for them were different before. One of the larges however, was doing fine at a certain setting but since I moved it into another roomthe growth rate has slowed even though I have maintained the requirement level it was previouslydoing great at. So it I think the types of water/nutrients and perhaps placement may affect it as well.
You just have to log each setting they are at and how this affects their condition and growth rate - once you find a good setting try to keep it at that. This is of course easier said than done because since sometimes they appear to consume a water or nutrient on loading and other times maybe only one of each it makes it very hard to tell if they have in fact updated.
Also remember thateach time the plant's condition/growth rate updatesits based on the previous settings - so if its good you will want to return the plant to whatwater/nutrient level it was at before the update.

If i put my plant in my bank can it die? I don't want to figure out how this thing works yet, but I don't want it to die.

i put mine in my bank for 2 months when i took a break..it was fine..although I can't seem to get it to grow either.. its a small plant ,the condition is "full of life" and growth rate is very slow. It has been that way for over a month now and I assume it refuses to grow up.
