This wasa discussion started in the Merchant forums, in a thread that was hijacked.

The Poster is complaining about ADK, and I justdon't understand. How could anyone not like these things?

Even if you have no use for them you can get from 5-20 million credits for them.

These credits are coming from these "allready said rich people" who are buying them to create a suit that's invincible (armour for example), but considering they could afford new suits 5,000,000 times over what does this really change (esspecially if they're a MAS)?

It puts 5-20 mil in the hands of someone who can actually use & enjoy these credits that would have otherwise collected dust.

Which in turn get the dust wiped off their exceptional t21 &(or)RIS armour that "they'll" get to have fun with (CU notes say there will be a hardcap on damage, so at most these things will only be wackily out of balance for just another short while) untill the CURB.

Finaly, my "SIG" suggested that I was looking for a "fight" and the people I was discussing this matter with decided to use it as an excuse not to discus this with me. Along with some other things about the removal of wait times on heals, buffs, entertainer heals, buffs and other small changes that effect some professions in good ways, and some in bad. IMO* Most if not all of these changes are for the better, make the game more playable & enjoyable for the majority.

I agree. And the people who sell the ADK probably need the credits more and will go out and buy armor and stuff that the person who bought the ADK would have otherwise.

The economy still cycles around. The ADK is the best loot ever in the game to preserve teh bestweapons and gearfrom decay.

Havla, as an example. Sure alot of us now have a few crates (including my chef who's sitting on a small stock, thanks to the update notes from TC that told me weeks in advance that they were reducing timers 2/3 for heals)

Im not losing money from havla, If anything Im making more money on Bivoli because Docs can pump out the buffs faster, (3 eats, buffing in Cnet/MO you dont have the stomac filling to eat both Havla and Bivoli anyways, or maybe now with the reduced food timers, which also helps my chef make more money, covering this supposed loss in business to the havla division, which was personal use for peoples ALT-Docs anyways and I think they deserve the break)

But these are just My Opinions

I do think the ADK should not be applyable to items without a serial number.

The whole point of the legendary/exceptional drops usually having low condition was to ensure they would be used sparingly; that way we wouldn't see people camping POIs, it would be a real decision to use the weapon as one day, it would be no more.

Other than that, I don't have a real problem with them.

BTW only because you mentioned your sig in your first post: it's "whiners" not "whinners"

I dunno, maybe merchants who now have thousands of less items that will be sold? Maybe players who think that pvp should be balanced? (ie. pay the cost for using uber stuff, not be twinked out for eternity)

Think before you post.

Two Steps Back, As I re-read this post over and over, trying to make english out of it. You have to realize that "these merchants, who have thousands of less items that will be sold" are the ones buying these ADK's for 10+ million, to the less fortunate players who have no credits and cannot buy any items anyways. Now they have credits, and will buy the "Merchants" thousands of items, which will decay because they sold their anti decay kit.

The Rest of the Post was writen before "Thinking before Posting" because if this guy really doesn't get it, maybe I should give up.....

Okay, this is how I will break down this comment. With a hypothetical situation.

"PlayerA" has 100million credits that he made with his 12pt Weaponsmith, this said player buys 3 ADKs for 10mil each. He now has 3 "Items"that will not decay and is out 30m credits that these said "sellers" now have to spend in the economy, which other wise would sit in his bank account collecting dust on top of the 70 mil that's still there. Reguardless, this "PlayerA" is never going to "pay" for an Uber weapon, because he'sthe one making the "UberStuff".AND these "Sellers" will never, ever ever be able to get another ADK without buying a new account and logging360 days, it's not like these ADKs are unlimited, there's only so many.

Are you still with me?

Good because I will now for the 5th time state "DEV ~ BLAIR" has posted about a damage "hard cap", that means even if you have a 1,000,000 max damage t21, it will not be able to do more than the "Hard Capped" maximum number of damage, lets guess and say it will be 2000, just over 1/2 of a post CU hitpoint player, which would evidently "Balance" PVP.

I have thought about this alot, You're the Exactly the type of person that I want to get to change their view on this matter, because it's not true. ADK's don't imbalace combat, they just allow(ed) "Everyone" a garrenteed "Uber" loot (no matter whatskills, professions, or gender), whether they'd rather the 10+ million credits, or to Anti-decay an "Uber" item, it's really their choice they logged their 360 days.

Nice spin but its not like that.

Merchants aren't buying all the adk kits and then getting all the credits back from the saps who sold them.

People who go through weaponsand armor the most are the ones buying the ADK's. Because they have the most to gain and are rich from the loot.

As for the CU and people basing things on that, its all heresay. A hard cap means nothing at this point because you dont know what normal damage is.

No MMORPG in history has ever given out ridiculously overpowered veteran rewards until now. The ADK makes a joke of all the other vet rewards. Did you know there is a reason PSG's dont have 36k condition? Are you with me?

Anyway this has been argued to death (in other threads) I could go on and on but I'd rather play the game.

Let us first take not of the thread that you accused me of "hijacking"

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=merchant&message.id=55921

If you go back and re-read the thread you will notice that it was not me that brought up the conversation with ADK's. It was actually Crimsonplat that brought that into the dicsussion.

Its also important to note that you went back and edited your original post where you on your initital attck of me indicated you were being rude. Your ecxact note was "Sheesh /rude"

Then a couple posts later you said you "could log one of my other accounts and bash you from there"

The a couple posts later you started you were not trying to be rude to me.

I posted my opinion on some of the changes and how I felt about how I see them impacting the community. I would have been more than happy to discuss this with you and would have if you had not just come right out and attacked me.

The only point of my post was the fact that some of these changes hurt the crafters of the game and it seems to be happening more and more. I understand how wonderful they are to others in the community, but understand that not everyone plays this game simply to hunt. There are players that like SWG because they like to craft, or be Doctors, or Musicians and even Merchants. This gave offers what I would say is the greatest diversity of activities of any online game. You don't just have to go out and kill stuff all the time to have fun in SWG.

And for the record I have no problem at all with things like ADK's. I think they are great. Good to protect a weapon or your favorite armor. They are a great benefit to all the PvP and PvE players.

I guess where I am most frustrated is that recently to give more to the PvE and PvP players they have impacted crafters the hardest. What real content has been given to the crafting professions lately?

Customer satisfaction needs to streach to all your customers - and not focus on just the majority. Let the crafters feel some SOE love too.

Now if you need to - go ahead and flame me.

no one is right here. It's, as always, somewhere in between. Yes it is better for some getting more money than they've ever seen.

But as for the crafters, I made great money selling server best 49% stun imp psgs (just 1 example)

I sold them almost as quickly as i could make them. This allowed me to buy better resources and make better items. Now that someone can buy a crate, slice it up to get the best effect. possible and adk it, they'll never be back. Much of my sales were repeat customers, They will never be back since they have everything they need once they adk it. These master looters did go through a lot of armor and did buy a lot from me. This was the bulk of my sales. Little by little, as they adk every piece or armor they need, they will NEVER need to come back to me. They are the ones that were driving me to make armor. Sales already are way down. I have since given up the armorsmithing business for other reasons, but it appears just in time. Yes people will still buy from me, but again, they are here and there, not the majority of my business. I will still do well and make creds, but not nearly as much as i used to.

It seems to me this will mostly just bring down the economy, (which i'm not saying is good or bad, just a fact) as I think we can see already, at least on Bloodfin where a +25 rifle speed SEA just went for 16 mil (would have been way more not too long ago) (yes there are other factors, but this IMO is one of the big ones) as that person with the new found wealth after selling their adk will spend there money here or there as they find what they want. It will help spread the wealth around the server more and help reduce the gap between the high end and low end players.
