Well, does anything tend to drop good commanod weapons? Flamethrowers, launcher pistols, acid rifles, or the expendable stuff

I've heard that sometimes tusken king can drop some commando loot

your local weaponsmith drops em 
. but really for the exceptional stuff, your ganna find it where all the other exceptional stuff gets looted: rancors, krayts, ns, etc. Your best bet is to just hunt krayts cause your more likely to get awsome tissue to make a good commando weapon (gorax for launcher pistol) then you are looted an exceptional weapon in your profession.

try killing nyax and his guys. It sounds dumb and pointless but he drops grenades with dots. Kinda stupid to have one stack of grenades with 3k uses of a mind fire, but if you collect a large amout of these it would be cool to have a bunch of grenades with dots to throw at people

hmm.. commando/pikeman with dot grenades and pikes... plus the flame dots... shame I can't just add ch to that mix :-P
But I abhore most dots. Use them when I have to against npcs.
Flame dot and bleed dots are one thing. But otherwise, don't use them Prefer damage vs a tick

the loot tables have not been updated for commando weps since beta. Even an exceptional Flamethrower is usually substandard.

Very true, the problem with looted flamethrowers is that the min damage is usually horrible. I would gladly take a krayt player made FT over a super high max/brutal min damage looted one.
