Thread: Another idea for Fixing Nyax problem.

Heres another idea:


Make it so that the only way to get into the last room of the Nyax bunker(where he spawns)is you need to loota special key that allowsonlyits holder access to the room. Andmake it non-tradeable so people wont be hording them and selling them.

This keyis a gauranteed loot item from a Nyax NPC who spawns every ten minutes either inside the base or outside the baseup to500m away(so that people dont camp the whole bunker), and it could be a weak disciple or the tougher fiend versrions.. Once you get the key you have 10 minutes to get to Nyax room and enter.


There inside yuo find Lord Nyax himself, his visionary and several fiends.


Lets make these campers EARN their loot.

I mean if he can drop an attachment that can sell for 20+ million, why not make it harder to get or at least more complicated.

I've never seen Nyax but I've been killed in about 1 second by his men so I assume that he is very very hard. But anyway I think that is a good idea cause when ever I go to get some xp around Cnet there are always AFK campers there in the good loot spots. So I think that anyway to cut down on AFK or not camping wether or not I use the area is a very very good idea.

I think an easy solution would be to simply stop nyax and other POI bosses dropping these sort after and highly lucrative CA & AA's. Yes you should still get a reward for fighting through a POI and eliminating a boss, but why not make it a constant, such as a nyms slug thrower or something similar.


Move the high point clothing attachments onto random high HAM NPC's, these NPC's should be able to spawn pretty much anywhere out in the wild. So obtaining these attachments should not only require some luck but also some hunting down. Hopefully then instead of people auctioning off unwanted tapes for huge prices, they would be more willing to swap their CA's for ones more useful.


Also whilst on the subject, why not make the loot piles and mag seal cans have a random chance of holding a booby trap, that when looted explodes and instant DB's the looter. Obviously this would have to be a low chance occurance, but enough that the afk looters would come back to find their toon in the clone centre. Would maybe make people think twice about running through a dungeon and double tapping every can they see too

I don't think Nyax should drop a skill tape every kill, in fact the way the nyax dungeon should work, is make it an instance dungeon where you can only go into the dungeon and kill Nyax once per day. Even if you get his cryoban grenade for the day, so be it.

OMG....do you people just not get it...HE DOESN'T DROP A CA OR AA EVERY TIME!!!!!!! And as long as Tuskens Drop better loot more consistently than NS Elders or SMC Councilwomen, you are going to be in here crying every day. Nyax only drops something worth keeping maybe 1 out of 10 times. The other times he might drop Grenades, or a broken mod CA or AA, or a weak LLC or a Ancient Holo Disk....yes I have looted one of these...so its a possibility. But I'm sorry...it just seems to me you are all crying foul because you don't want to put in the work to get these attachments.....ESPECIALLY the person that started this thread...you are a self-proclaimed loot hunter...does that mean...loot hunter only when get a fair chance and don't want to compete to get something worth having.

Thank you for that information. I must say my solution above was based entirely on theory, as after playing SWG for 15 Months now I couldn't tell you what Nyax drops and how often , nor what appears in the loot piles and cans within certain caves.....Why? Because everytime I attempt anything like that it is already populated either by high damage players or worse AFK'ers or LD'ers.


Hence I read all about the different ideas people have that could possibly open these POI's to the more causal or discernable players. I also see the elusive SEA's being sold in my server's trade forum for millions of credits, and whilst it appeals to make easy money this way, I am more interested in maybe having a chance to loot some to help either mine or my freinds toons.


Therefore making this kind of loot would be much fairer IMHO if it spawned on any NPC (all be it high end) randomly anywhere in the galaxy (or at least on adventure planets). Introducing randomness and luck would be an awful lot fairer than giving people great big arrows saying camp here for loot
