thx alot for the info bobacaw, guess I'm looking at a 2-5% drop rate

think of it this way, there is a possible 11 items a black sun can drop. 10 pieces of armor and the jetpack base.
the drop rate is 20-100 kills you should atleast have 1 loot.
So... in reality, it is 220-1100 kills to get a jetpack base lol...

i have looted 4 of these in my time of looking for BH armor, not sure on the drop rate but all 4 of mine have been from yavin 4 and the most amount of blacksun i have killed in a row with out any loot IE BH armor part or jetpack base is 55. i did loot 2 from the same spawn, this my run down of black sun kills after jet pack base number 2 in that spawn, 25 kills, right bracer,right bracer,helmet, 7 kills, helmet, 6 kills, belt with mods,3 kills, chest plate, 55kills, left bicep, 16 kills, legs/pants,belt,3 kills, boots with mods, 21 kills,belt, 3 kills, right bicep, 50 kills, JETPACK BASE,2 kills ,chest plate,32 kills and still killing.
So thats 2 in 207 kills. not sure how many i had killed before i only started keeping track after the 2rd jetpack base i looted.
will keep you posted if i get another.
not sure how much this info will help you but some is better then none.

the jetpack base drop rate is the same as the bh armour..
if u go loot and loot just to get a bracer u will loot everything

Its ALL about luck. You could get it on your first one, you could get it on your 20,321 one.

I've killed around 175-200 Black Suns on Yavin. Have looted 1 Jet Pack Base - as well as 3 chestplates, 2 helmets, 1 legs, 1 left shoulder. Killed Assassins, Henchmen, Guards, and Thugs - loot off all except never looted anything off a Thug. Like has been said, it's random, just wanted to add my numbers if anyone's interested.
