Has anyone else ever wondered why it was that the krayt dragon they just spent an hour beating to death by hand, had a CDEF pistol in his pocket?

How about that master TKA/Commando/Swordsman/Doc NPC you wasted an hour on, and couldn't get anything he used or carried?

Wouldn't realistic loots be nice?

THAT is what I would like to see. If I find myself in combat with an NPC that carries a DX-2, a T21, a Flamethrower, a light lightning cannon AND is wearing compositte armor that apparently provides 100% PROTECTION, then by God it should BE ON THE BODY.

And it should be REASONABLE as well. I am really tired of hearing how many bloody Force crystals are being looted off of Tuskens or Moisture Thieves or whatever. That doesn't make one damn bit of sense, and it needs to be FIXED.

/end rant

So true … yesterday i looted a decorative hairdress of an elder, which she hadn't worn when I was fighting her. The elder style hat would have been much cooler. If an elder is wielding a stun baton, don't let her drop an LVA. I understand that the stats cannot be the same as if the elder is using it. Also, if you loot NS Armor and/or weapons, you could get a system message in 95% of the times 'The item has been damage so hard during the fight, that it fell apart, while you are trying to rip it of your enemy' … so you won't receive more loot, but it has a more realistic sense.

Anyways, devs weren't able to fix a lot of loot drops for over a year ( SEA etc. ), even level appropriated loot don't work in 90% of the time … I mean hairdresses, locked container, satchels and not unusually no loot of elders is a bit annoying … luck is still not working. How should they ever be able to drop loot that makes sense to what the specific npc is using or wearing?

I agree completely; if nothing else the junk they were using could be trashed most of the time, but it would still fit the feel of the game and provide for some enjoyment when trying to find things.

As far as the fixes go, I remember what it was like at release day, and it is about the same still. Only additional junk has been added that it useful to someone, assuming they can find the mob to loot in from.

Exactly! Start there, and then for those NPCs where it is appropriate, like Force crystals on Nightsisters, just add the little stuff to the database for that loot.

The CDEF from a krayt makes perfect sense. Noobs always want to see the dragons, many do, few live. Have you ever tried getting a CDEF out from between your teeth using only a femur?
