Thread: whats the loot drop rate on krayt pearls?

i just soloed my first krayt and guess what? nothing. just my luck!!! whats the drop rate on pearls? thanks. oh, do they drop anything else?

Krayts can drop Scales (for armor), Tissue (For Certain Weapons), Pearls (For lightsabers), and occasionally other random loot such as weapons armor or even CA's and AA's (I once looted a pair of exceptional padded armor gloves...they sucked)
The drop rate is not really high, it's more luck than anything, this morning I killed 1 canyon and 7 Juvies and all I got was a crappy set of scales, This afternoon I went back and killed a two giant canyons, a canyon krayt, and two juvies and I got two sets of tissue and 2 pearls...you just have to hope for the best really

Has the loot rate increased with the population or does it seem to be the same amount of loot spread amonst more dragons now? I know no one will absolutely know the answer, but I am curious what people think?

It seems to be that the loot drop rate has been lowered to account for the increased spawns. I have been hunting juvi/canyon spawns for the last few weeks and typically would get something over 50% of the time, however doing the same type of spawns yesterday I was down to 25% or less. Could have been just a bad day looting, but a drop that big on average makes you pay attention.

Right after the most recent patch I looted 7 Krayts, got a total of 3 pearls(2 premium, 1 quality), and 2 sets of tissues(9 base, and 7 75 max tissues). So, no, I don't think loot rate has dropped, on the contrary, I think it has increased...

Hmm.. sounds like some mixed messages here.
Though I do see a lot of crystals on my server's trade forums today.
I'd love to hear more feedback on current drop rates since the reports so far have been conflicting.

Yesterday in probably what totalled 3-4 hours of hunting I looted at least 10 pearls and close to 60 tissue. Today in about 2 hours I haven't looted as much but I'm also being selective by just looking for juveniles. Todays loot so far is 15 tissue and 6 pearls

Are you hunting around the Graveyard or elsewhere?
