  • prolly the same dev team that created the Mando armor loot. The problem isnt the DWB itself. DWB is fun (for now till the combat rebalance...then we'll see) and isnt soloable. you need a group to get around and there's a rather lengthy quest involved.

BH armor drop rate is low,but at least youcan find them several places. the 2 key components drop only in the DWB and the drop rate is really really really low.

Is it the goal of the dev team to contiuously shift which mobs drops loot, and more importantly, the drop rate?

    A recap of loot drops:
    Pre Publish 12
  • Animals that drop loot rarely even spawn. If they spawn the drop rate is so low you may not even get anything

    Publish 12
  • Some animal spawns are increased. And they're drop rate is increased (krayts)
  • At the same time, the drop rate for RIS goes to 0

    Publish 13
  • RIS loot starts dropping again, and the rate seems ok
  • At the same time, the drop rate for pearls goes to 0

    Hotfix for pearls
  • Krayts drop pearls again, but at a rate that keeps pearls as rare as they were pre-pub 12

So, we have more krayts now, but the chances of getting a pearl or RIS loot is about the same as it was pre-pub 12. Is that about right?

A lot of people really enjoyed the pearl drop from pub 12 to pub 13. Is it bad if a lot of people have fun, and get some loot that is "rare"? I mean, how rare does rare have to be in order to still be fun & healthy for the game?
