Last night, Feb 28th, two of us tried Aakuans. I looted an Aakuan Cloak once. All rings looted were plain bands or signet rings...no Aakuan rings. All other loot was crap like broken datapads.
Unknown how many missions we ran each, but it was alot over an hour period, and i can solo a mission in less than 20 seconds. I would assume this is similar to the high end loot bug of krayt pearls or night sisters.

no, they still drop things, you were just unlucky. i was slaughtering aakauns too and got tons of clothing and a ring.

On Sunday, I ran Aakuan missions exclusively for one full buff session (3.5hrs) and 2hrs of the second buff session. My loot was as follows:
Aakuan Ring x3
Aakuan Cloak x3
Aakuan Belt x1
Aakuan Shirt x2
CA (junk ones) x2
Probably 50 or so junk items - plain rings, generic belts, ammo band, etc...)
115k of Credits from Looting Only
It will be interesting to see if today's hotfix changed anything. I did try the cave twice at the beginning of each session, but alas it was camped. I probably hit more mobs overall than the campers - non-stop milking

so can i just get a confirmation the kuns in their mission for drop rings?

they drop, but the rate is extremely low. I probably ran 40-50 missions over a 6 hour period and only got 1 belt, 1 ring, 1 cloak, 2 SEA's the rest was crap.So I just said screw it and bought some rings for 1.5 mil each. Considering I can farm elders and make 10 milminimum a day

a long time ago, i did my first Aakuan mission, and one looted a +6 riflespeed AA. everytime i went back. nada.

WOW. That seems really high even if they haven't been dropping. I bought my 2 for 250k each (Intrepid).
Granted the were not nearly as rare then, but still.
Well good for you to keep it in perspective that it's justa drop in the bucket compared to what you can make on your own.
