geno caves, acklay room, kill it loot its bones and have a WS make you one =)

Kill tough things like nightsisters and krayts. Many other things can drop exceptionals. Essentially, I'd say if it has at least the same HAM as a Nightsister ranger (13Kish range) you can probably loot an exceptional. It seems tougher NPCs have a higher drop rate on exceptionals, as well, but you're probably better off killing tons of weaker things then one big thing.There's probably a one in a million chance of looting an exceptional weapon, and an even lower chance of looting a power hammer, since those are only one of many things that can be dropped.
To give an idea of how rare exceptionals are, I've killed well over 800 nightsisters, and over 100 juvenilekrayts, and haven't obtained one yet.

this poster left out something.. if your not normaly an angry or pi$$ed off person i would recomend getting some practice before you loot your first set of exceptional clasps... or legendary heavy duty leathers.. heh

Loot really good bones off of Acklay.. Or get really really really lucky and get an exceptional or legendary one off some uber NPC or something.

I've looted two exceptional power hammers off of Nightsisters. I think one was a spellweaver, and I have no idea on the other one because I was looting them so quickly and did not check the loot until I had killed them all.

I got an exceptional DH17 Carbine off of an archwitch before. It was the ultimate newblets dream. 80-450 damage with a 1.0 speed with ultimately low ham costs. That thing pwned.
