I read someplace that your items can still decay stats wise when using a powerup on an ADK'd weapon... any truth/proof of this?

Dont think so. Ive got a Laser carbine thats ive been putting power ups non-stop since the ADK been out, its still going.

That actually *was* true a few weeks ago before the developers fixed it.


Currently, however, adding powerups to an ADK'd weapon will not affect the ADK'd weapon's condition at all.

to recap:

1. the anti decay kits can be used on weapons, armor, psg's, clothes, anything insurable (but not jetpacks, backpacks or meroj mellons)

2. When you destroy the item you get the kit back (so you can use them in ur uber exceptional weapons to kill kreetles or in your crappy curved sword to grind with, and then into your grind ing powerhammer until you get an exceptional one)

3. the kits are tradeable, and more than 1 can be used by the same person (and when you destroy the item to get the kit back, the deed will be placed in your inventory, not the person who originally earned the ad kit)

4. they can be used in lightsabers which will make the crystals/pearls inside not decay and you can interchange the crystals (though when the crystal is taken out and used in a non-anti decayed lightsaber it will decay as normal)

5. you will get the reward when you hit the 1-year mark, you didn't miss out if you haven't been playing 1 year yet, and new ppl are hitting 1-year each day so these kits will not become extinct just because ppl are buying them and using them up

6. It will not put crafters out of business, it should in fact make them strive to make better weapons so ppl will destroy th ones they have now to get back their kits and buy the better weapons to use it on, also there are very few ppl with enough kits to anti decay a full set of gear, and in order to get a full set many other ppl will be left with 0 kit's, so there will always be a market for new stuff.

7. It will not make powerups non-decayable, you will still need to insert powerups, (and no using a Pup in the AD'd weapon will not make the weapon decay) and DoT's will still lose charges when used, and you can still insert attachments after using the kit, as well as change color etc.

8. No DEV has posted ANYTHING about nerfing the kits ability to be reused..it's all speculation, nor have they said it's only temporary

9. I would suggest a full suit of 90% base sliced stun armor with 4 sockets for those good attachments, sliced stun psg and exceptional weapon..=uberness

In short, it was an introductory issue whereby people using ADKs on weapons that were already BELOW the incremental decay rate of 50% were losing condition because the game still saw the weapon/armor as being BELOW that threshold and kept the decay cycle moving.

That's why ADKs instantly repair an item to 100% condition now, so the problem doesn't happen again.

Although, it wouldn't have happened in the FIRST PLACE had they been introduced on a TC server clone before being thrust out into the community largely untested.
