I just wondered if anyone tried gived this "Slaver Colar" to the old man in the squill cave. After all he says certain people need help.
For example, I came across a spawn of yellow NPCs. Upon examining them I saw two slavers and two slaves. I killed the slavers and talked to the slaves and they thanked me.
Any ideas? (I destroyed the item because I was unaware of the "Hero of Tat" quest). Upon finding this cave and making it through I'm now kicking myself cuz it seems like a good thing to try.

the thing you give the old man in the squill cave is a squill skull.

yes to talk to him. But then he tells you about four things to do to become the Hero of Tatooine.
I was wondering if you give him that slaves collar to show you did one of the four quests.

I don't think so......it's been a while since I did the quest. If that was one of the things I didn't see it in my inventory. I collect un-crafteable necklaces, and I've been wanting a slave collar. (I'm a tailor

The Hero badge(s) comes after you finish 4 other quests...
Hero - hermit gives you the badge when you return the skull to him
Intellect - answer an NPC bounty hunter's question on Tat
Honor - NPC pirate leader quest on Tat
Courage - kill a wild bladeback boar on Tat
Altruism - help a Tat moisture farmer

I have the slave collar - I just wish you could equip it - I use it on my theater dressing table as a prop.

You dont have to talk to the hermit to start the quest.. Just find do the quests and then go to him and do his mission for the skull and get the ring in one trip..

Then to get the badges do you have to talk to him then?
And when you talk to him does he already know you helped? How do you prove you did those things?

they are used like rings to propose unity, except you use them on wookies to "propse slavery..err I mean life-debt"..hehe just kiding. it's an Imp theme park reward and has nothing to do with hero of tat..basically a cool decoration since it's not even equippable..could drop it where you drop a vendor tho for a nice effect

They spawn randomly, all on Tatooine. You'll see random threads in here like "Pirate spotted" and "Moisture Farmer sighted" etc...
There are a few threads with multiple waypoints, as well as threads on allhakazam.com.
