can someone explain how exactly lottery loot works? what should i be pressing when the menu pops up? "selection" ?.... "all"...? should i click on item in box then click one of those? or is it just a true lottery no matter what you do? what effects lottery and makes it different than "random loot"? if i do more damage do i have a better chance to win loot?
(*cough, cough....nudge) i ask this because a certain mandalorian friend of mine
gets honestly 98% of all the loot when we are in a small group of say 3 people, hunting for hours at a time. is there a trick? or somethingi dont know? sorry for all the questions but any help would be appreciated

Why worry about lottery ? just leave it on free for all and split it fairly afterwards if this is indeed a proper friend. As it sounds atm he doesn't sound very friendly..

You have to press "selection" or "all" to have a shot at looting the object. Everyone in your group who presses one of these two buttons when an object appears in the window will have an equal shot at getting it. i.e. If a CA appears (you can "examine" it, by the way to see if it's any good), and two people press "all" or "selection", they both have a 50/50 shot at getting it.... for 3 people, each has a 33% shot, etc. If you are in a group of two, as in your case, and you do NOT press "selection" or "all", and your hunting partner does.... he will get the object 100% of the time. If you do not press any buttons in a certain time period (maybe 30 seconds), it will assume your answer is "none", and you will not get the item. There IS one exception to this (which is probably the "2%" of the time you currently get something... if you both press "none" or no one presses anything, I believe the person who double-clicked the corpse gets it by default. I have only ever used "none" and "all" when group lottery hunting, but I'm assuming that the way "selection" works is that if there are multiple items on a corpose, you can pick and choose which ones you would like to try for.
Hope this helps.
