You don't have to be overt to see the stormtrooper armor from the recruiter... I'm covert and can see all of them when I ask to requisition armor.

So I've tried to do some homework on these boards and other places online, but I figure there are others out there who could answer this right quick:
How can I assemble an entire set of Stormtrooper Armor MYSELF? I don't want to pay millions for it, I'd prefer to do the work and get the pieces myself.
Is this even possible? The Imp park gives you some of the parts, but where to get all the other parts? Are they faction trade-ins?
Please help, your assistance is appreciated

You first have to get enough fp, typically 18500 for a human then go overt and talk to a recruiter.

- Naboo Imperial Themepark
- Bestin Missions from Capital building as well as Outpost
- Dantooine Missions from npc's at Imperial Outpost (Inside cantinna, stormtrooper, scout trooper)
- Run missions from Imperial Mission terminals. (Found in Theed, Kaadera for example, or also found at Imperial Bases and Player Cities)
- If you have JTL go Overt at an Imperial Space Station then go kill Rebel NPC's in Kessel (or Deep Space if you are an Ace.)
In my opinion space is the fastest way but you really should do all those ground based missions. They pay good faction points and you get some cool loot along the way. You should be able to save up the neccesary faction points by doing a combination of the things I listed above.
EDIT: To actually purchase the armour pieces, you need to go talk to the recruiter, and choose...
- What Items Do you have
- I'm interested in armour
- Then purchase the pieces you need

anyone who wears faction armor has to be overt to put it on, but theres some kind of bug in the game that when you die as overt when wearing armor it stays on you, that counts for imps aswell as rebels

Another good way is to hit some POIs controlled by rebels and kill them all. I'm not sure if control of POIs vary by server or not.

Shoot... you guys are right, it's the faction pets you have to be overt to see, my mistake.
There I was thinking I was being helpful... lumped the pets with the armor.
About wearing the armor covert, it is the same for rebels and imperials alike... just hardly any rebels ever cared to find out.
It's funny... A LOT of Rebels don't know about the method to wear faction armor covert. (Just over the past two weeks I've explained why they see Covert Storm-Troopers to at least 5 people that play rebels)
I realize this is because hardly anybody cares about the marine armor, so the methods to wear it covert have never been much of a concern.
I'm not making fun of anyone here, it's just another indication of how people feel about the Rebel's marine armor.
Sorry for the mistake and this mini-hijack.

I got a Full suit of ST armor unbuffed, unarmored and with Novice Pistoleer. All you need is determination,it took about 2 weeks for me to get a full suit...Heres what you do:
- Buy a lvl 2 BE pet
- ask a CH to train it the "Group" command, this will allow you to group with the low lvl pet
- as a result to this, your mission payouts will be around 600 creds,BUT,they go VERY VERY fast to do,and it usually spawns 4 low lvl reb npcs, you can kill them with 1 HealthShot2.
- When the rebs are down, run around and loot them,at the same time as you shoot at the banner.
You will need to go up in factional rank abit to not cap at FP...
This method is also quite fun,and nothing beats to get a new piece of armor after some hours work ![]()
(Yes,it may go faster with buffs on Dantoonie, but how fun is that?)

Sure, I got all the pieces by myself (Actually another friend of mine was working on getting it as well and we teamed up sometimes), quite a long time ago... as a master marksman and Novice Bounty Hunter.
I did it just by running Faction Missions over and over for a while. I did a good amount of it from the Imperial Mission Terminals located at the Emperor's Retreat, but Dantooine Imperial Outpost is probably the best place to run them from.
I saved up and got the most expensive pieces first (Helmet and Chest Piece) then worked through the rest.
The only thing I can add that the others haven't said is... you have to be overt in order to see the armor when dealing with the recruiter.
Have fun while doing your missions and take breaks if it gets too boring. It's better to enjoy it, so I suggest playing the part of an Imperial and immerse yourself in the Star Wars Universe a bit.
Good luck (And don't wait for the Combat Upgrade... go earn it now, it's worth it).
