Thread: The million dollar question: Spinner blades

i know people have been asking about these and I myself am also curious about them, so i thought they deserved their own thread...
a) where do you loot them?
b) what NPC do you loot them from?
c) how often do they drop?
Firsthand accounts only please - no friend of a friend of a friend stuff. there is too much unconfirmed reports and things on these forums, esp re: these spinner blades.

Hidden Daggers NPCs , Corellia. Can get missions for them. And yes this is first hand information.

I've had problems looting them from Hidden Daggers. I was doing missions for about 2 hours and didn't loot a single one. I looted plenty of other new items (freedom poster, party poster, magnetic burner, datadisk repair kit, rocovery software, and wiring) but not a single spinner blade. I'm still a bit skeptical but this is the biggest lead we've had on this rare item.

Bear in mind it might only be a certain class of Daggers that drop them. If it helps i was just grouped with a droid and there were 4-5 NPCs per camp when i did the missions.

Another thing.. I've found that the chance for any kind of loot isabout 1 in 5 if you're lucky.Then consider the rate that spinner blades are dropped compared to all other loot and you've got a very very rare chance of getting them.

I was in a solo group, getting 5 NPC's per camp. There were: activists, extremists, leaders, lieutenants and dissidants.

I got the information that someone finally found Spinner Blades from this forum today and immediately travelled to Corellia.
Three guild mates and I formed a group and one of them came with me to take missis (about 2.2-3.3k)for the Hidden Daggers - the other two hunted somewehre else.
After hunting for about 2 hours my guild mate (we took different missis and made them on our own) got a couple of items but no spinner blade while I got 6 of them

They seem to be a little more common than the Heating Elements.
And I consider the schematic for the Agitator Motor asthe most rare item among the new loots *sighs*

Simple question...
Were you using a hotkey with the loot command in it? The only explanation I can get is that by using /loot it's not picking up spinner blades for whatever reason (bugged). This is the only thing I can think of as I've been out here for 4 hours and have yet to loot a single one.. while you go out for half the time and loot 6 of them.
LOL, and BTW... I hate you.

I always loot by doubleklicking the corpses *does not like macros for that*
And as I already said - my guild mate hunted formore than twohours too and got none.

Quick update.. FINALLY looted my first spinner blade from the hidden dagger NPC's. Only took me 4 anda half hours. I switched to double clicking the corpses rather than using a hotkey for looting and it worked. Probably a coincidence but if you're not looting any with a hotkey or the /loot command give double clicking the corpse a try instead. This might be bugged, who knows..
EDIT: Right after I typed this up and posted it I looted another spinner blade via double-clicking. This was 2 drops in 5 minutes whereas I got 0 in 4 hours of /loot command. I think something might be bugged.. I'll continue to double-click and see what I find..
