It goes in your inventory? Same thing that happens when you redeed every other harvester you have.
Its not like this is a one time use harvester then your screwed.

My question follows: Does the havester look any different after applying the kit and placing it? For example, does it have a solar panel on the side?

I placed the kit on a Heavy Mineral Harvestor and it looks no different. The only way to know it's the one with the kit is in the Status page. The power consumption value is set to zero.

when you destroy the harvester (redeed) then the harvester AND the kit go back into your inventory so it does not stay with just anyone harvester

Ok want to get this Subject CLEAR to everyone
1. Drop Harvestor
2. Use SPH Deed ( Harvestor Status Window now shows power consumption 0, you also receive a e-mail that its powerless
)
3. Re-Deed Harvestor as normal
4. SPH re-deeds Itself Also
Your Harvestor Deed and Your SPH Deed will be placed back in your inventory.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ROOM IN YOUR INVENTORY NOW SINCE YOULL BE GETTING BACK 2 DEEDS WHEN YOU RE-DEED YOUR HARVESTOR...I have no idea what will happen if you try to pull up a harv with 79/80 inventory...dont take it for granted that the Dev's have tested this probability..just be safe...make sure you have enough inventory if you have many of these you are pulling up all the time.
