lately i been a victim of people running up to my target and starting to beat it and ending up getting the loot, and to be honest it gets old.
twice yesterday it happend to me, first time a friend of mine and i were running to nightspider cult cave and we ran across a guy fighting some singerclan councilmember(cant remember the correct name), then he kills it alitlle after we pass him, then a new one spawns abit away from him and it starts to attack us, so ofcause we defend ourselfs, 5mins into the fight the guy jumps in the fight after he recovered from his first fight, and ofcause he gers the loot god knows how and then he claime he owned the spawn.
2nd time i was fightin krayt and i had almost a juvi beat half down when a guy jumps in and beats on it and also get the loot and thats what i find odd and the ofcause he wants me to kill the big brother to it as the spawn in pairs, nice guy eh.
i think looting in this game should be like in WoW, you hit the mob first you and your group get all xp and loot.
cus all this is starting to annoy me.

Just do the same dirty thing. More people will claim for a right change on loot system.
I wait not be talking like a loot stealer,i allways share npcs with other players in the area. Its too easy for a master rifleman to strafe shoot an area and get the xp a brawler is trying to gain, but i dont do that.

It is however part of the game, person who does the most damage wins the loot. Its annoying when it happens, best thing to do is find a quit spot.
Being in a group does not really increase your chance of out damageing someone (unless you are all high damage dealing professions), as the damage your group does with be averaged out not totaled. For example4 grouped people attack an elder. 3 TKMs and 1 Rifleman.
The Rifleman does 125k damage, the 3 TKMs do 25k each - Total Damage 200k. For loot winning purposes however the damage total for the group however would be 200k / 4 = 50k. So a solo Rifleman or Swordsman who decides to attack the Elder you are fightingwould just need to do more than 50k damage to win the loot from your group.

I agree. It does get annoying especially when u put time and effort into killing a particular NPC then someone comes and outdamages u with ease. I recall being outdamaged by one rifleman when we had a grp of 5 ppl working on a GDK. Best thing i try to do is not to tank for anyone in these situations. If i see someone moving in and i know i cant beat em, i run and peace out. In the case of the rifleman that was in the background, we all ran towards him, thus increasing the chance of attack on him. Of course, he still outdamaged us, but made him have to move and run himself. Best policy overall is respect of others overall. But i do agree w/u on this matter and i think c/u is gonna change alot of things from what i hear.

Yep, respect is key here. There are several persons on my server that have the ability to outdamage me, but also plenty more I currently have the ability to outdamage. I've always done my best to respect other players as it is just a game and confrontations generally serve no purpose.
I'll never get the frustration of "working hard" to kill some mob only for someone with better weaponry and lack of respect to come in and take the reward I'll never see. I've sure been tempted at times to attack mobs already under attack because I know I can outdamage the person currently fighting it. But, I let those temptations subside as respect is much more important and there is no point in taking part in the same behavior I deplore.
It gets old, but there is no sure-fire way to eliminate the problem, and will remain a problem for all mmo's for some time to come. However, when it comes to the higher end, it would be nice to see more instanced zones, as camping can be an even larger issue, as it is on Corbantis with a certain PA. Its one thing to camp out a spot forseveral hours. Its rude to the general server populace to campan area virtually server up to server down. Lucky for me they camp areas that drop items I currently have no use for, so I have no reason to support their behavior by purchasing their loot. It also keeps them away from my favorite targets, and helps insure that kills "stolen" from me are atminimum. But of course, the CU may change that, although I'll most likely quit come CU anyway.
