Where can i find one of these Orbs? Do the drop as loot or is a a Quest Reward?

I know they're loot. I have one and I think I got it after a few days of farming at the Force Crystal cave (POI on dant) but I'm not sure.

go inside the lucky despot in mos eisley (big ship looking thing with long ramp). you must talk to the npc's inside and find the main one to do missions in the name of lady valarian, so your "valarian" faction must be good to do the missions. after u finish the second person you do missions for, you will get the orb

You must have positive faction AND a high enough lvl weapon equipped, so that the NPC will recognize you as tough enough. Not sure if that aspect has changed post CU, but I know that not having the right weapon in your hand would keep the NPC from offering a mission.

As you walk into the Despot, there are two NPC's with'i' bubbles over their heads right in a row - a generic thug by the entrance and a named NPC - Kavas Urdano-by the dooway/opening leading up the opposite side of the room. The named one is the one you start the Valerian missions with....
