Thread: Will recycler schematics be fixed?

Word of warning for everyone out there... DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE A RECYCLER.

With that out of the way, I attempted to make a recycler last night (technically this morning) and the crafting kit exploded on me with a bunch of internal server errors. After that all the components poofed and the recycler schematic poofed.

After talking to the CSRs in chat they told me that the recyclers are known as bugged and will self destruct destroying everything that went into them (with no recycler coming out the other end). They said to hold off on making them until patch notes announce that they're fixed.

Just curious if this is going to be happenning any time soon?

I've been keeping an eye on the daily update threads, but I've yet to see any posting on those threads listing the recycler schematics as bugged...

Does anyone have any more information about this than I do that would care to share?

There has been many threads posted previously about this bug. Its on all servers and with either the agitator motor schematic or with any of the other recyclers.

Bug has been there since last patch.

If you resubmit a ticket to csr, they will replace your lost items.

However, this is a one-time replacement. They stated not to reattempt to craft these items until a specific fix regarding the internal server error is put into place and announced.

If you check the other pages of this section, someone has used a macro to continue to craft the item after the internal server error has occurred. But my wife's character isn't gonna take the chance of losing her items again (and not have it replaced this time) to try the macro.

You can count me in with those waiting eagerly for this to get fixed. I have one recycler left to assemble for my set and im way to chicken to try the work around to get it to work on assembly. But i'd rather wait then lose my components and schematic and have to chase CSR's around for days to get it resolved. Been there done that.

I was making an agitator motor, and it poofed on me.

The worst part is that csr ignored my ticket and closed it.

I don't care if I don't get the components back since I have a lot, but the agitator schem. Who do I contact to get it back?

delete the ticket and make a new one - make sure to keep a nice tone and rember to tell that you were unaware of the reccycler bug - and according to the forums and the csr - each person is allowed a 1 time refund, if you can pinpoint when and where and if by who you got the item from.

Yes they should replace it.From the customer service forum:

Ok, now that all the threads are consolidated and in one spot..

If you had previously submitted a ticket about the crafting session crash currently being experienced on these items and did not receive assistance, please resubmit a ticket, and provide the following information:

  • What you were attempting to craft
  • When (roughly) the attempt occured
  • Where / when (roughly) you received the components from: (by trade, vendor, picked up from a house, etc) We do not nescessarilly need all the components, so please provide what information you can to assist us.

We will be investigatingeach situationon a case by case basis, and will provide assistancewhere we can, based on the informationavailable to us. If we are able to provide replacement parts, please DO NOT re-attempt creation of the item until an announcement has been made that the problem has been addressed by Development in a hotfix or mini-publish. It would be great if they can make all the recycler parts (and all the other bugged things) take up no inventory space until they are fixed. I for one would be able to get rid of 2 houses right away.

Yeah the CSR was kind enough to return the components that were eating in my attempt. Like the others, I was asked not to try again unstil a fix is announced in the patch notes.

I'm still missing the spin blades, but it would be really cool if I could get the other recyclers together.

Just finished digging through the Patch 14 update notes.

I couldn't find an annoucment indicating a fix for the recycler bug.

So if you've already gotten your one-time reimbursement - DO NOT TRY TO ASSEMBLE AGAIN.

Otherwise, the CSRs will probably say "told ya so!" and you'll be really sad
