Okay, I got the housing and the 4 components and made the empty data pad

Datapad housing

1. datapad battery
   
2. datapad backlight
   
3. datapad connectors
   
4. broken datapad

Makes Empty Datapad

I also have items 1-5 below. But, how do I put those together? IS there something called a datadisk repair kit? If so, where do I get that? I have never seen nor heard of it. ANy help would be appreciated.

2. Magnetic Reader
   
3. Magnetic Burner
   
4. Recovery Software
   
5. Wiring (not red wiriing just plain ol' wiring by itself

Yes, there is a datadisk repair kit, it works just like the datapad housing: you drag the required pieces onto the kit and get a "datadisk". You may be able to find them up on the bazaar (they're listed in Misc -> containers if I remember right), or they drop off various low-level mobs (I got a couple from the Mummers and Plasma thieves outside Kaadara).

That's all you needed to get a broken datapadfixed? I have the datapad repair kit and I have those 4 items inside of it and it does nothing but take up space in my inventory. Also says 4/5 items...... like there is a fifth part that wasn't mentioned as being needed.

may i ask what drops the items for the datapad? currently i keep looting the same five or so items when ever i fight the mobs near the town picture printer datapad and canvases and nothing else any hint on where to find this new stuff?

I have made both items now the question is what do you do with the empty datapad?

First, you assemble the datapad housing stuff.

Then, you assemble the datadisk repair kit stuff.

The datadisk goes into the blank datapad.

I just recently completed this, and I got a rather interesting tale about someone who was going to fight in an arena, who did not realize that he was the accused and would not use a weapon .
