Thread: Why Say loot is fixed when its obviously not?

  • Giant Canyon and Krayt Ancient Dragons should drop pearls at their normal drop rate
  • Nightsisters should drop crystals at their normal drop rate
  • Fixed a problem with all high-end loot drop rates

From my personal experiences today and researching the boards this is total BS



Giant Canyon and Krayt Ancient Dragons should drop pearls at their normal drop rate : unless the normal drop rate is 0% you failed!


Nightsisters should drop crystals at their normal drop rate: same thing as above


Fixed a problem with all high-end loot drop rates : Nyax, Singing Mountain, and other high end loot NOT FIXED.


Personally I would rather be told nothing then complete BS which is what they are telling us atm

i agree i was thinking of being patient with them but this is insane theres no reason this loot drop problem should be going on this long

Why does this remind me of the dev response to Creature Handlers regarding Frenzied Graul babies?


The devs insist it's possible to tame one (i.e. there's a chance a baby will actually spawn). There hasn't been a confirmed sighting of a new baby in over a year, and it's not for a lack of looking.


The working theory on the FG babies are that yes, there is a .00001% chance of a baby to spawn, but it simply isn't possible to generate enough wild FG spawns to have a shot at it.


So maybe it IS possible to loot these high-end items again, but you may as well start playing the lottery because your chances are 1 in a million.

But Tiggs never said what the "normal" rate was. It could be like 1 in 100 or something.

Because...


1. It's easier to say it's fixed, until players find out the truth, which in the meanwhile gives you time to really fix it;

2. Deny it's not fixed;

3. State that drop rates are being "tweaked" until they are comfortable with them;

4. Deny it's not fixed; and

5. Deny it was ever broken once it is fixed.


Loot drops were still bugged on TC but 14.0 went live anyways. Someone's head should roll over this. It's inexcusable.

I spent three hours today killing NSs and I got zero crystals, and my favorite, spending 30 min killing elderand all i get is credits.

No no no...everyone has it all wrong. I said the same thing in a thread in the jedi forums.

They "fixed" the loot rate alright. The same way you have your dog "fixed".

Since i never really loot....ANYTHING good... i didn't really care. until my friend got jedi, and i decided to go to Fort Tusken to loot some crystals for him...

I Cleared the Fort 6 times. 2 hours of killing. and only got 2 crystals. a white one and green one. i dunno if thats right, as much as i've heard friends go on about how many crystal drops you get from Tuskens.... OH WELL.... i could just have crappy luck. i managed to not get my holo-unlocks, too. *glare at SOE*...
