What is the schematic that does this? Is it the radio?
How does it work?

Go to any hotel in an NPC city, and look for an NPC named "An Event Promoter"
If you can't find him, just type: "/target An" and you'll select him
Speak with him, and you'll find out that he has a WHOLE BUNCH of stuff to offer!! You can get a TIE to put in your city, or some flags and banners, or some NPC troops even.
If you want to get music, you'll have to speak with him about "Games and Supplies" or something like that.. After you ask him what you can get, scroll down untill you see an item called "Jukebox", and after paying him 20k (i think that's how much it costs), you will have a jukebox terminal in your inventory!
Now, head over to your house, city hall, PA hall or Merchant tent, and drop the item in your house. You can /move it and /rotate it untill you like the position. Then, target the jukebox and hover your mouse over the option that says "Use" and another menu will expand, asking if you want to Start Music or Stop Music. Select Start Music and a list of all your favorite Star Wars songs will appear! Pick your favorite and let the good times roll... Of course, if you get sick of a song, simply select another one!
Be aware that the music will only play in the room you put it in; you won't be able to hear it if you step out of the room. (For example, in a medium tatooine house, if you put the jukebox in the front room, you won't be able to hear it if you step in the foyer.)
Now, bear in mind that the Event Promoter has to make a living somehow, and he can't just sell these great items at these ridiculously low items, so he will have to RENT them to you. From the moment you purchase the item, you have eight(8) hours untill the Promoter's mob squad come to your house and haul the item away in a truck.

When it says it last's 8 hours. Does that mean 8 hours of play time? or does that mean once you set it down, you have 8 hours then?

Eight hours from the moment you PURCHASE the item from him.. If you bought the item at 2PM, and placed it down at 5PM, it will dissapear at 10PM (2+8=10)
