Thread: The ultimate solo krayt killer template?

I'm looking to do some krayt hunting, and it works okay right now as a master rifleman, it just takes forever. Last night it took me 45 minutes to kill a giant krayt solo without him ever touching me by using a conceal shot macro hehe. Most of the time I was afk though so no complaining. I even got a -9 +48 pearl off him my first krayt I ever killed lol.
Anyways looking for a template thats a little bit more time effecient, like 15 minutes to solo one? I hear commandos are great. What if I did 0/0/4/0 commando and the rest tera kasi? Or what about master swordsman master brawler?
Or I suppose I could just keep doing the conceal shot thing, however some krayts find me even if I don't miss.

tkm/master commando!!.. i could solo these eeeeaaaassssyyyy!!!!!! took me about 6-7minutes for canyons and giants...oh..if you do giants take thatkillo....get fast flamers...several stack the dots...they drop fast...i've dropped them almost as fast as jedi's.another tip...90% armor....possibly faster....Ceasar

I highly recomend this template.
M Swords
M Brawler
pistols 0040
pike 0040
FS Melee Speed 4
FS Melee accuracy 3
Medic 2040
I have tried other combinations, and this is the one i have come to love. You will never get stunned, occasionaly blinded, and seldom dizzied (skill tapes can eliminate the last two). Also, don't underestimate the value of ranged mitigation II. This allows me to fight against rebel comandants and SBDs. It also helps you survive should you ever try your hand in PvP (though this is not the optimal PvP swordsman build).
This is IMO the best PVE template. It will easily take down canyons and giants in 15 mins (Giants are about 20-25 mins) with a 700 max hammer. With my 380-868 hammer, I can do a canyon in about 6 or 7 mins. Ancients take me 45 mins to do, and are only possible because of mind fire and poison lances.
For ancients, go TKM-Commando. Fire just rules, End of story. However, you have pretty much specialized your soloing to Ancients. You will not be as efficient against lesser krayts, or night sisters (though you will be much better against the Spider clan elder, and SBDs). Make sure you stack some pistol on top of your template so you have some defences.

I'm struggling to work out how a TK\Commando could solo these easily. With that template you would have aweful Def vs Dizzy stats so would spend half your time on your back getting hammered...... since you would be using the flamer on the Krayt you would not be getting the benefit of your Unarmed Toughness, so you would be getting hit pretty hard as well.
Commando is only really good for krayts if you have a tank, if you don't I think you will be disapointed when you go up against a Giant or Ancient Krayt. Plus as 90% of your damage is going to come from the Fire DOT that means that its not going to take much for anyone to KS you.
For actual Damage output, not DOT output you can't beat Rifleman at the moment - Picking up Rifles with the Def lines in Pistoleer and Fencer and some medic and you should not have too much of a problem going head to head with a Giant. Thats what I am doing with my Rifles Character at the moment - Master Rifleman, Fencer 4-4-4-0, Pistoleer 0-0-4-0, Medic 2-3-4-0
Will Give me +90 Def vs Dizzy, +100 Def vs KD, Melee Damage Mitigation 2, Melee Def +109, plus the use of Stim E's, Cure bleeds and quite a fast heal rate.
When the CURB hits I'll prob go Master Rifles, Master Fencer or something like that.

I know a *team* of TK/Commandos does pretty well against Krayts...I'm on one! As to solo, I don't see how, perhaps with some truly uber weapons or something.
