Thread: how krayts make ranged attacks soe?
Ive noticed with really big animals (kimos and krayts), there is a graphical error where the location of the creature doesnt update....ie, the creatures location is changing but it looks like he's not. You can tell this because a) creatures without ranged attacks will be hitting you from outside melee distances, b) you'll be able to attack when the game tells you you're well outside weapons range (like 55m for a pistol) and c) other smaller melee creatures that are also attacking your big target will move with the "true" location of the "ghost" Kimo or Krayt.
I was soloing a random spawn of kimos, and there was a static spawn of gurnasets or whatnot next to the kimos, so id drag the kimo over and stand in the herd and wait for him to launch an AoE and aggro the gurnies, then root and fall back and let them do most of the work
Once the root wore off, the kimo didnt seem to move very fast, but the herd of gurnasets keep moving in a weird little circle ahead of it heh.
Rooting the creature again seemed to update its location properly, it will appear to dash over to you, until it deroots again.
A pain for melee, just find out who or what it's attacking and stand next to them/it.
Knocking them down shows where they actually are (50+m slides ftw)
