I respect that for balancing purposes different professions need to cert for different armor types (recon, battle, assault).


I would like to propose that the type of armor be disconnected from the LOOK of the armor. For example, as BH/Commando I can only use assault armor. However, what I am proposing is that crafters could make assault armor that LOOKS like imperial recon armor, for example. This way players can get the look they want, without imbalancing the game. I love my profession, but I hate the imperial assault armor and would dearly love to be able to use recon armor instead.

That is hilarious..... while they are at it perhaps they can change AT-STs balance so that Rebels can use them....


I am a Master Creature Handler and still to this day ANY DEADBEAT IMP with a few faction points can have a better pet than I can tame or quest for... what a joke the new Vractyl is... same skin as the digital reward (oh forgive me actually it is one shade darker).... and regardless of what any so called einstein of CU claims the new Combat Balancing act is REDICULOUSLY FLAWED.....


There is finally working proof of what 1000 monkeys typing blabber in a room for a year can look like when implemented into a Live Beta-testing environment.... incredible how those screwball monkeys make some decent coin while we succumb to the real pain and suffering.


If SOE is so desperate for a better future.....to make more money, you think they would learn fromworking models like the one responsible for KOTOR. Instead they display in GRANDE SCREWBALL FASHION the immediate buck is all they care about and their base support customers, well who cares about them...... let alone the creators integrity??????? You think that SOE would show some self respect too but alas..... NOT!

the reason they didnt do this is because of a half-assed obsoletetheory left over from an earlier build of the CU that holds that you should be able to judge what kind of damage an enemy can give out and take in based on what armor and weapon they have held, and make tactical adjustments accordingly. Thats why weapons cant be equipped unless you're certed, unlike pre-CU where they could be equipped but were useless. Of course since there are only two damage types that matter now, and armor is usually balanced against both except for jedi hunting armor, its really meaningless now. I think itd be cool to have armor certed only based on the cores used, not on the skin. Id love to be able to mix and match pieces from all the armor skins to make a truly custom looking suit.
