I am on the Chalistra galaxy, and have noticed a problem. The CSRs can't agree on whether using those arms to defeat turrets is exploiting or not. A friend of mine has discussed it with 2 CSRs. One of them, (CSRPeterJ), said that it was not officially called an exploit. He also told my friend that he can continue using the arms to kill turrets in that manner unless/until it is called an exploit. Later, my friend also got to talk to CSRKeith, who said that he didn't want people doing that on "his" server. I am now asking the general community what their opinion is. Please do not flame in here, since there has been pleanty of flaming over this subject in other posts. I just wanta general discussion. I realize this is a touchy subject with people who work hard to get those turrets. Please be civil and discuss this like a human being, not some backwater drunk that only knows how to cuss everyone out. Thanks.

HMMMM, no one is answering. I guess I can take that to mean that everyone is fine with things as they are. If that is the case, we will feel no qualms about using arms to take turrets down without risk.

I dont feel it is an exploit as anyone can buy or get one so its not like only one person is doing it anyone can do it really.

it is not an exploit. here is why...

1)Devs decided to make a +5 to ranged weapon distance

2)Devs decided to make a +10 to ranged weapon distance

3)Devs made turrets to have a 75 meter range

4)Devs decided to allow +5 and +10 to be used at the same time

5)Devs decided not to change the range of turrets when these arms were introduced.

6)Devs still have not changed the range on turrets knowing that there is a ? on whether or not this is an exploit

7)both these are are working EXACTLY as intended which means that if an exploit is doing something outside game dinamics to give you a boost and these are working as intended then it is within game structure thus it is not, I repeat it is not.....one more time IT IS NOT AN EXPLOIT!!!!

thank you for taking the time to read my post, have a nice nonexploiting day.

It isn't an exploit but I think it is just plain wrong and stupid. A rifleman should not be able to outrange a turret.

It's probably not an exploit, but it should be. Any way that you can attack an NPC, player, turret, creature, ect. without being attacked back is an exploit in my book.

I will point out that this IS the "Items and Loot" forum.

To the complaint that a rifleman can use the arms to kill npcs without getting aggro'd, I will point out that my friend only uses them against turrets. He kills npcs fair and square with aggro.
