Thread: Hidden Daggers Spinner Blades. Fastest way to farm?

I need to get me a few spinner blades so my tailor can use synthetic hide in large factory runs. I've had zero luck on getting them so far. I found a post saying that CL15 hidden daggers dropped with about as much frequency, which made me wonder if the most effecient way of farming the missions would be to get a large solo group to increase the spawn at each mission, as opposed to just killing two-three CL80ish NPC's at every lair.
Any thoughts or tips?

I hate relying on luck.
Well, actually, I think luck hates me. But still...
On the bright side, I did stumble on a pub12 loot list somewhere around here, which narrowed the possible NPC dropping it down to activists and extremists.

Thanks for the tip. After 4 hours of hunting we managed to get 2. So narrowing it down to the activists and extremist may help.

Only the Activists drop them. I have been hunting them for a week to finish a recycler and all week I only got one. Last night in 2 hours I got 3 spinner blades. Go figure.

Nope, just got one from a CL82 extremist.

Fastest way to farm that I've found....
Get missions in the same direction, close together, and go from one to the other, and back again, killing them but leaving the lair. Going in agroup of 3 or more, for max spawn.Missions from Tyrenna (sp?) worked best.

What Karo said worked for me, too. It was my IG wife and I pulling four missions. We each pulled two in the same direction. We had heard that only Extremists dropped the blades, so when we went out if the mission didn't spawn an extremist we would destroy the quest and go grab another. After about 45 minutes we had the four missions in a 750M radius. Kill the spawns but not the lair/bases. All were CL 15, so anybody with an area attack should be able to kill all the spawns in one shot or two. We were able to put together two full sets of spinner blades (only for personal use, mind you; we weren't loot farming for profit) in about 3.5 hours. A couple of notes:
- Contrary to what you see on the boards, extremists and activists are NOT the only ones who drop the blades. We pulled maybe 80% from them, but the others came from other spawn types.
- The pull sucess was spurty. We'd get nothing for an hour (spinnr blades, that is; still got other junk) and then get four in one spawn cycle between the four missions. Weird.

get in a large group, they dont have to help, just make sure theres 7 other names in the upper left corner beside yours.
go to any player city on corellia.
take 2 level 15 hidden daggers missions in the same direction.
cycle between the two missions a couple times without killing the lair as said above.

this will spawn like 10-15 lv15 daggers at the spawn point. show up, aoe shot once or twice, loot the 10 corpses, next.
i've gotten as much as 5 or 6 an hour for 4 hours straight.
go to any player city on corellia.
take 2 level 15 hidden daggers missions in the same direction.
cycle between the two missions a couple times without killing the lair as said above.

I kinda do the same as this guy but i use coronet and just do south missions (this way you dont have to worry about grp level), remeber once you have taken the first group out, go to the next mission and come back for a re spawn. I got 2 an hour in 1 evenings run.
