Thread: Dear Special Edition owners and devs, a word about the goggles...

if anyone wants to see them in game (on the US version) visit the trandoshan slaver camp on kashyyyk they are often wearing these.
I didnt get the special edition and didnt even know it existed till some time after i arrives, what I would like is for them to be dropped as schematics in space, or some kind of lengthy quest and when they are crafted can add minor bonuses and a special maybe, like the cybernetics do.

THAT's what those are. Uh Devs, no offense, but the rest of us would REALLY like to get those. The eyewear being unique to special editions is getting old. GIVE US THE EYEWEAR, PLEASE!

Ok ok, I was just trying to use what little leverage of guilt I could find to try to enact a little change.
Give them to everyone! They are too cool to be only available on japanese servers.

I've had the special edition and have been a goggles wearer since launch, and I have to say that this is indeed a slap in the face. The Japanese goggles are much better than ours and I would love to see those 3 added to our current set of three. Imagine, those of us that spent the extra $30 for SWG now have 6 glasses choices instead of the core 3. I personally like the "monoacle" style pictured in the second screenshot.

Again, my personal opinion, the people who bought the special edition (English version) have your three special goggles. These others should be craftable by tailors so everyone can get them.

Proud (and disgruntled) SE owner here and I'd like to see them give to us SE owners. They're already in the game and they're already designed for SE players, let us have em!

/agree but tailors should have to do some sort of mini-quest to be able to make them, like the armorsmiths RIS certification, but then there's a fine line between whether they should require wierd stuff to make, or if they should be everywhere on the server.

thats the main reason for getting the special edition.
as for the jap goggles yea there nice and all. but thats the jap edition.
by all rights, you should be able to PAY for the jap special edition and use the key on the us version to get them.
dont quote me on that though

While the Japanese glasses look awsome on Ithorians, I really do like the goggles for the English CE. Or atleast one pair, anyway. I never take them off. Though that character is Twi'lek.

What they should do is allow for a digital download of the Special Edition, like an "Upgrade to SE" Option or something, so it gives everyone a chance to get them, but keeps them special.
