Thread: Krayts not dropping?

I was hunting krayts quite a bit for cash awhile back, and i went out, killed a few and logged.
Once i killed 5 krayts in a night and got 3 pearls from them.
The next day i kill 20 and get nothing but bad tissues in stacks of 3-4 and scales
today i killed 6 and got 1 tissue stack of 2 and nothing else
(examples 1 and 2 are about a month ago, 3 is at the timestamp of this post)
do i smell a stealth nerf? or just incredibly bad (or good) luck

From my experience I'd say you were just incredibly lucky before, because you can expect that loot rate which you saw most lately. We killed around 12 the other night and got 1 pearl and 1 delicate trigger assembly (although this includes kills from inside the graveyard which I hear are less likely to drop).

Drop rates are random. The static spawns do not drop as well as random spawns. Try killing more than 5 or 6 before you cry NERF. This is just sad. I've gone out solo and killed 50 in a night and not gotten any. Then again I've gone out and only killed 30 and came back with 7. Krayts are not that hard and will not give you a pearl every time. Just because you killed a couple and didn't get what you wanted doesn't mean they're nerfed it means that you havn't killed enough.

all luck i usually kill about 10 to get a pearl. ive killed 10 and got nothing at all, ive killed 17 got nothing untill my last dragon and it dropped 2 pearls. totally random. yesterday i killed 15 or so had about 11 drops. 1 pearl. atleast they were dropping altho getting a mando interframe after that many kills has you ready to smash your keyboard

Monday me and a friend went hunting for 2 hours
i have noclue how many we killed but we looted 8 pearls
4 sets of tissues all decent damg
and some scales
how every one sez its luck
before this i had never looted an pearl in teh CU

ya, looting is just luck, they havent nerfed em (aside from no premies) =O

Well i guess that proves my theory about my luck, i don't get good loots, 
Ah well, at least i don't wear armor that can decay

What are you talking about? You just said in first post "Once i killed 5 krayts in a night and got 3 pearls from them." ....

Basically the faster you loot the better the loot rate seems to be, for example if you drop 8 krayts in 30 min. you'll get a better loot rate than if you dropped 8 krayts over the course of 2 days. im not %100 sure. its a theory im working on now. but it seems to be the case. I was pretty amazed yesterday to how fast i was dropping dragon after dragon and they kept re spawning, and they all dropped. exept for a few. killing them in 3-5 min. a piece. just kept on dropping. but when i cant find any, and i kill 1 here, 2 there, they never seem to drop. if someone would like to join in testing this theroy that would be great. im curious to if there is something to it.
