Thread: What happened to my BH armor? Its all changed? Please help

Hey all. I am in the military and was deployed the week of the big CU. I just got back this week. Wow what a lot of changes. BUT! All of my BH armor that I looted from the Black Sun over the coarse of a year (almost a complete set) has been changed to "Crafted" saying that it can not be used to make Mando armor. What happened? I tried a Customer Service ticket, but here a couple days later, still nothing. Anyone have any advice for me? I hate the thought that its just all gone. Thanks in advance for any help.

your in for a lot of changes man. devs improved a lot and ruined even more. You are in luck if you have some flawless pearls and such tho as they sell for 40mil now

You got that right-- there have been many changes to all of the game mechanics and professions. I would start by reading the stickies in the forums of your chosen profession(s) so you can see what has changed. If you did combat before, all of your specials will be different and you're going to have to re-learn the new style of combat, so it's probably good you have been away for awhile to get a fresh start.
Your BH armor is a good example. All former BH armor parts were converted to "crafted" armor. It's now possible to loot schematics and make BH armor to your specifications. On my server, it goes for 1 million+ a piece. To get pieces that can be made in to Mando, I think you need to get the new stuff from the DWB again, but I am not sure-- Since the CURB, I run out of the first DWB room screaming in about 10 seconds.
Hopefully you will like what the CU did for the game. It changed things drastically, so as long as you don't expect things to work like they used to, you should be able to pick up and have a good time.
Keep an eye on your inventory, too. You may have had some stuff in there that was "OK" before, but is now a rarity and in high demand.

From what i understand, Pre-Cu BH armor can still be used to make Mandalorian, but it has to be converted first (an option found ont he radial menu of the armor). Also, BH armor can still be looted from Black Sun on Yavin and Dath.
Be sure not to confuse it with the newer Player Crafted BH armor. This can be obtained by collecting schems that drop from NPC BH missions and having a armorsmith craft it for you. It CAN NOT be used for Mando.
Id check out the armorsmith forums for more detail on it.

Examine the armor piece by piece. You should have an option to change the armor to mandalorian components.

let me clear u all out
if you looted the BH armor pre CU from black suns, it should still have the "dismantle" option so it can be converted into mando.
the devs only called it crafted because they wanted change the system to allow these lootable schems to be "crafted"
you armor has weak stats yes, but it can be crafted into mando armor still, and becuase it was looted pre CU, u can still actually wear it.
Now black suns still drop BH armor peices, but there just "BH armor" you cannot equip it as it is only used for crafting mandalorian armor.
like yourself i had a few full sets of Pre CU bh armor, and with it still being equipable and still being able to craft into mando, its worth quite alot i think.

I would just leave it as crafted until you are ready to make mando cause after you convert it it isnt wearable, and you can convert it whenever you want.

Thanks a ton guys. That really cleared things up for me. And it made me feel a lot better about the armor. I thought I had all but lost it. Now, the next thing is, I would love to get my hands on the last two pieces. So i can complete my set. I need a helmet and a chestplate. How can I tell if the armor is the pre-CU or post-CU? Obviously they both say crafted now. As you have all just taught me. I have cash and I am looking to buy Pre-CU BH armor, that is wearable, and that can be disassembled to make Mando. (right) Can I trust people to pass me the right stuff? Can I examine it that throughly in the trade window? let me know, please keep the info comin. Thanks again for all your help so far.

pre CU looted bh armor usually has stats of 1 k kinetic and 790 energy resistence

If stats of armour is too good then its player crafted but for some strange reason the AIs with cdef weapons and crappy armour sure can deal out as much as they take themselves
