Although I'm not aware of any specific updates or promised patches which would result into a female Katarn Armor, it's not unlikely this may come with a random patch unannounced. Keeping your fingers crossed and hoping they do release such a patch is one thing you can do. The other thing is PM'ing the armorsmith correspondent and let him propose this idea to the developers.

I saw this mentioned in patch notes too - about a month ago.

Not seeing any change in the armour's appearance though.

Aha, so I wasn't just imagining it.

# Clone Trooper style armor appearances will now display properly when worn by female characters.
# Update to previous patch note: The species restriction has been removed from clone-trooper style armor. The male/female appearance fix remains (so females will wear the female art versions of this armor, and males will wear the male-armor versions of this armor.

Obviously, this change didn't go through. What's the deal?

I could have sworn at one point I saw an upcoming patch note which said that katarn armor was being changed so that when women wear it it looks a little less manly. Anyone have any idea what happened with that or why I can't find any mention of it now?

somehow i doubt they meant that they'd make the clone armor womanly. i think there was a graphical problem with the armor when worn by women.

The fix was torepair several gaps shown in the armor, around the necks and arms that show when its being worn, and make it scale to the female figure better. Try putting a set of stormtrooper armor on a male then a female, you will see the difference. Unfortunately the fix did not work, and clone armor still displays with the male figure, complete with the hole on either side of the neck and on the elbows. It was part of patch 23 seems like. Not suprised that it doesnt work, nothing from patch 23 worked, so why should this?
