Can a character be upgraded to the Collectors edition? Or would I of had to start out from that.

The goggles came from the Collector's Edition of the game. They aren't supposed to be tradable.

You get them by buying the Collectors Edition. And no, they are not tradeable

you would have to go buy a copy of the colectors edition which also has a SWG patch and a zabrek female miniture as well as the preprinted signutures of the devs on the back of the manual.

Sunglasses looks malplaced.. when I see a wookiee with sunglasses I think of the 80's.
But they should get eyewear for us normal mortals too, I think! Or GAS MASKS.

Well....thatwould perhaps be overdoing it..but hey...its nice to have a delicate museum in which to relax and think things over 
and and the getting stuu...its like a drug always need another fix...

can you buy the special edition and install it over your current version of swg to get the shades

You used to be able to tradetheeyewearby putting them in a droid with item storage capacity, and then trading the droid to another person. Don't know if that still works or not.
Of course you'd also have to find someone willing to give them up.
