OK, the forums are great and the game is great, but I've been playing for about a month now and collecting stuff and alot of it I have no idea what it does, what it goes to, what it makes if anything. I don't know whats important to keep or how to sell to or even distroy.
As a new player it is very frustraiting to get stuff and just have it sitting in a drawer cause your to afraid to distroy it but noone will or can tell you what it does. I've read the manual and it dosn't have a comprehesive loot guide (that i can find in it). Can someone point me to a glossary of loot that discribes it, what its used for and if part of a set what other parts are needed. The ones im finding on the web really havn't done that.
exm:
Jars of diff. bugs you find in spawn points of animals......Took 2 months before i found someone who knew what to do with them and what they made.
Small electrical motor is another, I have 2....know idea what it is for.
checmical dispersal unit: i have found 5....again no idea who to give them to.
plenty of other stuff also.......Please help.

the jars of bugs are junk, hehe, there's a website that lists all the kinds of loot.. not sure if it says if its worth anything or not.. I'll edit post in a min with link

What is it that you're even talking about.... you list an example, but I'm sure that's not what it is that you're talking about, what is it that you don't know what it is or do with or destory or sell, theres alot of items ingame?

IT = Anything in the game that is droped by any NPC..........Why some people have to make something simple seem hard.

Pretty self explanitory. I have been looting items and i majority of them i do not know what they do. Some are pretty simple but alot of it im like.....OK NOW WHAT.
I do have to say that someone else must have been thinking what i was cause they posted a half way decent loot list with planet locations on it, just after i posted my request. Much props to them.
Still wouldn't mind haveing a webpage that had pictures with discriptions of everything avaliable to get in game. Heck i just found out what the wookie life globs were, but again could not figure out where to get one.

lol... Well with all the loot in the game i dont think anyone will go and post a million pages for you on EVERYTING that is dropped as loot in the game. You do realize there are tons, and tons and tons of items??? OH and to type down anything and everything that is dropped by an NPC would be something hard and not so simple unless u have a good 20 hours of time you could use to type it all out.
I'd check out the web site that the other poster has for you if you want to know. No one is gonna start typing just any item and list what it does where its from, gess theres too many to count. Check that web site out.

Writing a manual to a game for you, i would imagine, would take a thousand pages + ....
Chill out and explore the game....yes there's lots of garbage loot out there, but in time you'll learn what to keep and what to throw away!

I've found a lot of stuff that wasn't on Alla's just by typing into Yahoo in quotes, maybe followed by SWG or Star Wars. Sometimes, you get more off of links on people's guild sites than you do off of the official or major SWG pages.
