Thread: Template Revamp: What is best for Krayts and other high-level spawns?

I am re-doing my template and think I want to become a combat/fighter class. Currently I have been doing merchant/artisan type stuff. I want to hunt krayts and other high level NPC's. What kind of fighter should I choose? Ranged? Melee? I heard swordsman or fencer from some. I heard ranged was good sometimes. Also, people say it depends on the foods you eat, etc...
Any info or link to other forum thread about this would be helpful!

Swordsman+doc/fencer/master brawler/rifleman works good.
Make sure you have at least novice medic

Swordsman without a doubt. Only class capable of tanking and doing damage against high-end mobs. To be most effective you really need to hit the speed-cap, which for swordsman is 95.

I would wait for the combat revamp before going to all that trouble cause everything will probably change from what i'm hearing. Right now swordsman is one of the strongest classes.

Looks like the CU will be out just before the next star wars film, so you have about 2 months to try the old combat system.

msword mdoc prolly.. but if you'r rich enough to wear 90% armor: mrifle, tkm, 0040 pistol, some medic is better imo 
(with 90% armor, there wont be anything other then NS elders you wont be able to tank.. elders are still possible, but a real pain in the a$$)

well...i would go master brawler/master swords/master pike...you can handle anything any planet can throw at you. 224- medic for bleeds and use of stim d's and e's(if made with low med use) and you can handle anything. get a good hammer and you can solo a elder in about 6-8 min. Good Luck M8...Remember warcry and intimidate are your friends.
