I've just had my first encounter with the jukebox that they added. You can purchase them at the hotels around the galaxy, but the down side is it only lasts for 8 hours
. You could totally deck out a house or PA hall to play your favorite Star Wars songs/themes. We must get the devs to make itrequiremaintenance or something like a house, instead of just lasting for 8 hours. Or maybe people could drop a couple creds in the machine if they want to play a song. Please everyone must try out the jukebox, you dont know what you;re missing. lol.

They are awesome but 25K for 8 hours then poof is just not worth it. I really think they should be player made and permanent.

It would be awesome if they were made permanent, what would be just as cool would be if they were made to play the music throughout the building... I'm not trying to take credit for someone else's idea here, but someone mentioned that maybe the speakers that are already in game couldbe modified to play the music in other rooms.
When I first got one of these and put it in my house I spent nearly two hours with a friend going through all the music tracks - I was amazed at how many were listed.

Question though is it 8 hours of play OR after 8 hours its dead?

If not perm. Just at least last a little longer. I won't spend the money on those, unless the guild is having a get together or something of that nature. Not worth it.

I'd love to see all the perks last longer. 8 hours is short sometimes--suppose my town wanted to do an ongoing event that involved CorSec providing protection against terrorists, who'd tried to stomp down City Hall with a black market AT-AT or X-Wing. (Nevermind we're on Tatooine, there's no TatSed or factional NPCs.) I could move the brazier from in front of City Hall (it's good to be mayor), put down one of those wrecked AT-ATs or a crashed X-Wing, drop a few NPCs around saying what happened, and have squads of CorSec stationed all around the town.
But they go poof after 8 hours.
That's not even enough time for most of my city to get a chance to see it, even if we *were* all on the same continent. I'd have to log in every 8 hours and redo everything. Three times the cost, three times the work.
But 24 hours... That's easier. Or even up to 2 or 3 days, so you can have them out over a weekend!
It'd be wonderful, and it wouldn't be game breaking. Let them cost a little more (please, not too much more), discount the short rentals bya good bit to make them more accessible to more towns and players (say 2000 for a 8-hour NPC, 10k to 25k for a 2- or 3-day NPC).
I'd also love to be able to pick up and move perk items. Sucks when you pay 25k for something and then realize you were facing the wrong direction when you put it down.
And definitely let Jukeboxes be a player-made permanent item. I vote for Master Artisan, because I'm biased.
Heck, let them decay over time if needed, but make them avaaaailablllllllllle!

I agree, they should be permanent items or require maintaince.
